These guys are outstanding! The branch manager Alfonso, he is amazing to work with and very accommodating. Chubbs and Randy work the counter and they are always very knowledgeable, friendly and have great attitudes. This is one of the best supply house to go to in our area because of the team there. Johnstone has done a great job putting this team in place. Thank you Alfonso and team for always making a great experience when I come in.

I’ve had an excellent experience with Johnstone Supply, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Alfonso, Randy, and Chubbs. Alfonso is incredibly helpful and educational, always taking the time to ensure I understand everything I need to know. Randy and Chubbs are also fantastic; they are polite and go out of their way to assist me anyway they can. Their dedication to customer service truly sets them apart. Highly recommended!

With so many supply houses in Modesto, why go here? The folks behind the counter are great- when you call, you don’t get a phone tree or long wait times, but rather, someone who picks up right away and goes out of their way to help get you what you need. On top of that, their large selection of parts (especially universal parts), free delivery, longer store hours than other suppliers, and ability to bring in parts from their distribution hub in Las Vegas sans freight, are all big pluses. I’d say my few sore points are not with this branch, but Johnstone Supply in general. They seem to not carry a large selection of OEM parts for the brands they carry like Coleman and Bosch, which is fine (space constraints and all that), but their policy is also to charge freight to bring in warranty parts for equipment they sold- which has led me to buy a warranty part elsewhere, because even with a warranty processing fee (for not having sold the equipment), it was cheaper. I do a lot of stuff online, and there’s definitely room for improvement here. The Johnstone website is very nice, but still doesn’t have a feature shared by its competitors (being able to filter website search results to only see in-stock/local inventory), and while it does offer a fair amount of information on parts and equipment, it has no links to product data and spec sheets, installation manuals, brochures, warranty information, etc. And while they finally have online warranty submission (yay!), the counter guys are often clueless as to warranty terms, especially on mobile home/manufactured housing lines- anticipate long wait times for them to verify (and I would expect to be given wrong information even so). When the website does give you problems, IT support is difficult to find and nobody seems to have any resources. Additionally, something in Johnstone’s firewall (?) or something similar makes it so that e-mails can take a fair bit of time to arrive. Overall, this branch and its employees are very pleasant and helpful, and it’s nice to see them get back on their footing after some staff shake-ups.

Been dealing with this distribution for hvac equipment for quite some time now they are always very helpful prompt and extremely professional if you are a HVAC CONTRACTOR looking for great equipment and parts give them a call
