In Houston the aging Centerpoint Electric distribution system combined with the never ending increasing demand for electricity and Ercot’s inability to regulate the private electric power producers have left me wondering who can I trust to keep the power on at my house? I finally found the answer to that tough question and and his name is Burt Koenig with KISS Generators. Burt is a part owner in this family owned Houston based local company dedicated to installing and maintaining Backup power Generators both for Homes and Businesses. Burt has been nothing but Kind, Professional, Honest, and Transparent with ever step of the process. He responded quickly to any and all questions I had. Buying a generator is not cheap nor fast but is very easy with the help of KISS Generator. His crew is hard working and not afraid to sweat in the Texas heat while getting you ready for the next Power Outage.

I tried to do a online quote and the website wouldn't let me complete the information field and move to next steps. Then I called 4 times, with no answer. I then went to the office and had recieved a guy named Burt's cell phone from one of the technicians that was outside. I called and left voicemail ad texted. He called back quickly the first time and requested I provide my information and he would pass it on to the scheduler for a site visit. That was 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything. I even called and texted back, with still no reply. I literally live 5 minutes from there shop, could have been an easy sale and PM service contract if they would return calls and texts. Their loss, on to the next company that wants my business.

When you need ‘em, they ain’t there. KISS normally services our generator. After the passing of TS Beryl in July 2024, our generator failed. It was simply impossible to get a technician out to come and attend to it, even though their technicians know that there is a medical patient that regularly requires oxygen as well as other medical devices. When a follow up call was made the following day, there was nobody working to even answer the telephones. We were able to contact one of their technicians who told us that "we’re not coming today… isn’t gonna happen" or the like. What good is it to have a generator if it’s not going to work when you need it? What good is it when the company that services your generator can’t (or won’t) come when you desperately need them? In my opinion. when a company normally services your equipment and has revenue from you, they should pay better attention and give customer service to their paying clients.

July 2024 after hurricane Beryl, Burt Jr came to my house to give me a price for a new generator. After a week I called his office to see what the cost would be and left him a message to call me back. No return call. I called again, no return call. I emailed him twice and no response. If KISS Generator doesn’t want my business just let me know. So frustrating!

Fantastic from start to finish. We have had perfect service from the installation to date. They installed and have maintained our system for over five years. For times like these, hats off to the KISS team!!

Extremely poor service. After an initial consultation for a generator install and annual service and monitoring I never received a quote from KISS. I made numerous calls to Summer, the office manage, who told me she would get with the owner and have him call me but he never did. I made four attempts, but I will not beg them to be a customer. I spent my time to be at home for the consultation and it looks like they don't respect anyone's efforts to meet with them. If they don't want the business they should just let you know. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, FIND SOMEONE WHO RESPECTS YOUR TIME AND WANTS TO PARTNER WITH YOU!

I recently had a 20kw Kohler home generator installed by KISS Generators. The installation was done in a timely and professional manner with no issues whatsoever. I have recommended KISS to a number of my friends and will continue to do so. Thank you for a project well done.
