Native Nurseries

This place is a peaceful oasis and one of my favorite spots in Tallahassee. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Their selection of native, edible, and indoor plants is beautiful and thoughtfully curated. Their gift shop and bookstore are full of treasures and their Saturday morning workshops are amazing! I love that they have ones designed for bringing children along 🙂 This is a place built and run by people who truly care - about plants, wildlife, and the community. Every little detail in that place bears testament to that.

It’s quaint and there seems to be a good variety. Staff was not welcoming when I visited, unfortunately—no one said a word or offered any kind of greeting or assistance. I ended up going elsewhere for what I wanted, but maybe will give it another try next time I’m looking for something and hope to give a better review.

Native Nurseries is a lovely place to visit with a wide selection of native Floridian plants. The florals are stunning and the selection of greenery is very broad. There is a wonderful array of pots, plant accessories, related books and puzzles, and bird feed. The gift ideas are numerous and the supplies available for propagating plants, supporting pollinators, and attracting birds are of high quality and plentiful.

Sublimely beautiful nursery! The selections are wonderful, the staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable! LoVE the gift shop and all the T-shirts and things! Really the only problem I have with this wonderful place is that it's 5 hours from me! 🙁 Well worth the stop if you are in the area!

Beautiful place, I always love coming here since the environment is so calming and friendly. They have an amazing variety of plants and the staff is always super helpful and very friendly. It’s always hard fighting the urge to take home as many plants as I can but this place is honestly the best and I definitely recommend checking them out!!!!

Great place to buy native plants as well as herb and vegetable starts. Staff are all very plant knowledgeable.

We absolutely loved this place. They have written signs for each plant, giving details about the growth of the plants: the heighth, width, sun, shade, adding pertinent and interesting facts. I love the native idea also so that I am not wasting my time growing a plant that will not flourish in my yard.
