2 years ago I purchased a replacement solar system for my pool because I had a new roof installed and thought it best to start new. Shortly after, my ceiling in my bedroom started leaking water. It was the solar system that was installed faulty. They fixed the roof, I took care of ceiling myself. Now, a year later, 4 of the couplings failed and were leaking off the roof. I called for replacement of the faulty couplings, which obviously aren’t made to hold up more than 2 years. First they didn’t return my call so I called back. Then I was quoted $259 for someone to come look at couplings. I was told I need a service contract so they can come out and check the system and then the solar panels would be covered for 12 years. It’s not the panels that failed, it is their improper installation. Poor customer service. I don’t recommend them at all!

I spoke to Lisa on the phone because I need them to remove 2 of the thermal panels that her company installed for some roof repair work. She quoted me on the phone and promised to email a formal quote to me but she never did. Then my husband contacted her and she quoted him double the price! Then she kept calling me but I refused to pick up because they are dishonest and push you to agree to have them do the job and then charge whatever they want to! I agree with the other 1 star reviews. Performance solar is unprofessional, greedy and cherry pick their work. Stay away from them!

Do not use these guys they do really bad work. Had them do my pool solar with AAA and about one and a half year in it leaks from the glue and pipe not set right from really bad craftsmen’s work, I reached out to Cindy at the company she told me they would charge me $180 to fix the work that they Messed bad in the first place. they ruined my roof, you can see in the pictures. This is some of the worst work I have ever seen. you can see they didn't even set the pipes even when cutting. I will remove this when and if they fix the issue.

We first contracted Performance Solar in 2001 for our pool solar needs. At that time they exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Since 2001 we have had no issues with their installation or product. This year, 2019, we had a roof issue that caused a pool solar panel to slip off its mounting. One call to Performance Solar and they were out to rescue the panel, 18 years later. Later in 2019 we decided to invest in new pool solar panels and PV solar panels. We called Performance Solar. From the first call through installation and start-up, they again exceeded our expectations, even helping us find the perfect roofing company. 5 stars round one, 5 stars round two.... Thank you Performance Solar! It’s always a pleasure doing business with you!

These guys tried to poach my solar permit by sending a text to my elderly customer that looked like a bill. If they had fallen for it they would have unknowingly switched companies. The customer luckily called me concerned we sent them a bill they didn’t know about. Terrible unethical business practice.
