EDIT: Spoke with Eric, who promised he'd research and get back to me. That was weeks ago and they've not taken any action. Avoid. Bait and Switch. When PES Solar was trying to sell me a a new system in 2022, I expressed concern that I'd be replacing my roof in a few years and it might make sense to wait. "No problem", I was told, "If you buy from us and later use our roofing company, we will take down and reinstall your panels at no charge!" That assurance made me decide to go through with the $40,000 purchase, but not being a fool, I had the owner, Wendi Miller, sign a contract addendum assuring me they'd honor their word when the time came. A few months ago, needing to replace my roof, I reached out and got a bid from their roofing company. While it was the 2nd highest bid I received, it would've made sense to use them since the panel takedown and reinstall would be about $10,000. However, they refused to honor their contract and only offered a $50 discount per panel which made the price about $8000. Phone calls and emails to Ms. Miller or anyone in management were ignored. No one had the courtesy to even take responsibility for breaching the contract. When I give my word, that's it- you don't even need a contract. This contractor will sign their name on whatever to make a sale and then disregard it to make a buck. Avoid at all costs.
Update 2 in response to PES "clarifying". Below is a video that shows the water clearly leaking through their solar connections. They did come out the following day (not promptly as it continued to rain throughout the night and I had to call and email them incessantly) and sealed their own solar boxes, which should have been sealed from the start. While they did finally, three months later, pay for the damages, it was only because they knew I would litigate, which I had already had to do once before. Mind you, this was over a mere $1500 worth of damage they were responsible for. Imagine if it were more. UPDATE: PES tried to bribe me into removing this post by signing an agreement indicating my review is "false" in return for them compensating me for the water damage to my home caused by their unsealed solar boxes. I politely declined and let them know that the court will handle their inadequate workmanship. Public court records do not lie. Do yourself a favor and search the lawsuits in your county, Broward County, Lee county and others related to this company before you contract with them.
Had a system installed at the beginning of September. I'm still trying to register the power wall through Tesla because apparently PES didn't do something correctly. Now their customer service is unable to help me because for some reason they have no idea what I'm talking about. They also installed power wall with the glass and told me that it would be replaced but yet here I am still waiting for it to be replaced when this started my opinion was high. I thought these guys are doing a good job. Now I find that my opinion was completely wrong and they have horrible after the fact customer service and didn't properly install something as far as the power wall goes. Yes we did speak afterwards and we did confirm that it was not Tesla's fault that you guys did not do your confirmation paperwork correctly now. Not only that, but I'm still waiting on the glass cover for my powerwall that was installed broken. Now it's been 2 months and I still haven't got it so the review still stands
TITLE: WARNING: Warranty Is Meaningless When It Comes to Service Calls! We chose (PES SOLAR)about four years ago, and I must admit the initial installation process was seamless and professional. We were assured of a comprehensive warranty covering the system's performance and components—a major factor in our decision. However, that peace of mind vanished recently when a core component failed. Our gateway/monitoring system stopped communicating. This isn't a minor annoyance; this piece of equipment is essential for tracking production, verifying the system is working properly, and, crucially, for validating the terms of the performance warranty. When I contacted the company for support it was a whole different story .and a world of excuses.
I regret ever choosing PES Solar for our solar panel installation. We signed a contract for $47,480, expecting quality service and workmanship. Instead, we’ve been dealing with extensive roof damage caused by their installation, which has led to water leaks, ruined ceilings, and additional costs for us to fix their mistakes. It took PES over **six months** to complete the installation and get the system operating, which should have been a red flag. But the real trouble began when we first reported a roof leak directly below the solar panels. After weeks of waiting, PES sent a crew to "repair" the issue. Unfortunately, their repair was inadequate, and the leak persisted. Despite numerous calls, emails, and follow-ups, the company failed to properly address the problem. Their customer service is slow, unresponsive, and seems to be constantly "working on it" without actually fixing anything it is also near impossible to have follow up with the same employee. At one point, they sent a technician with nothing but an 8-foot ladder and a bucket of paint to address the ceiling damage in our living room – for a custom home with vaulted ceilings. This technician was not prepared to fix the real issue, and even commented that he didn't know what PES expected him to do with the materials provided. He left without completing any repairs, and our situation has only worsened since. We’ve now had independent inspectors and roofing companies out to assess the damage, and it’s clear that PES’s installation caused significant roof damage. Over 70-80 tiles around the solar panels are broken, water is dripping through the roof onto the floors. To make matters worse, PES continues to dodge responsibility, offering partial solutions and ignoring the underlying damage caused by their poor workmanship. If you're considering PES Solar, I would strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Their lack of professionalism, delays, and disregard for customer satisfaction have cost us thousands of dollars in additional repairs and significant stress.
I had a great experience with PES Solar from start to finish. Their communication was excellent. They kept me informed every step of the way and explained the process in a way that was easy to understand. They set realistic expectations and met every deadline. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and respectful during the installation, and the system is performing exactly as expected. If you’re looking for a reliable solar company that values transparency and customer service, I highly recommend PES Solar.
