So from start to finish, using PODs was easily half the cost of using movers. They were amazing. This drop off was so simple, A huge thank you to our delivery driver Ryan Wolfe, he made this delivery to our new home so easy, he knew exactly what we needed and how to make our POD experience simple and carefree. A head up to anyone thinking of using PODs for your move. Pay attention to the Podzilla machine size. With your POD size add two feet extra on each side for better understanding on space needed for your POD. The Podzilla machine needs to room to maneuver correctly. Thank you to Miguel in VA and to Ryan Wolfe in NV for everything.
Hired POD and their recommendation of pack and load company. It is always a horrible experience to move and pack your stuff, but so worth every penny to have them do all the packing and then packing into the POD and unloading the next day.
Title: Beware of PODS – Hidden Fees, False Promises, and Dishonest Billing Practices I want to share my experience to warn others about using PODS Moving and Storage. I first rented my POD in April 2024 to move from Atlanta to Colorado, then later from Colorado to Las Vegas. The total transport cost came to about $2,500, and I paid $408 per month for storage—faithfully, for over a year and a half, without ever missing a payment. When I finally scheduled my POD to be delivered to Las Vegas at the end of September 2025, I was quoted $2,500 for transport and $102 for delivery to my local storage facility. My delivery was set for October 13th, and my billing date was October 5th, meaning I would only have the POD for eight days that month. However, PODS still tried to charge me $408 for the entire month, refusing to prorate even a partial refund—even though they prorated charges when I first became a customer. When I questioned it, I was told, "We don’t prorate at the end of service." Another representative claimed I had a three-day grace period, but when I checked my rental agreement, there was no mention of any such policy. Between October 6th and 8th, I spoke with multiple agents and supervisors, all giving me different answers. One told me if I emptied my POD by October 8th, I wouldn’t owe another month. I did exactly that. I even recorded the calls for proof. Despite that, PODS still attempted to charge $468 from my account—claiming I owed a balance, even though I had already emptied my POD and was told by their own staff my account would close with a $0 balance once I did. To make matters worse: • My delivery status still shows "Scheduled for October 13th," even though my POD has been empty since October 8th. • Several items were damaged, and the inside had spider webs and dust, showing a lack of care while stored. • I have three recorded calls with PODS representatives giving conflicting information about prorates, grace periods, and balances. At this point, PODS has shown they are dishonest, disorganized, and only care about squeezing more money out of loyal customers. After paying them faithfully for over a year and giving them more than $10,000 total, this is how they treat me. ⚠️ My advice: Don’t use PODS. Read every line of your contract, get everything in writing, and record your calls. They will say anything to get your money, but not stand by their word when you’re ready to end service
Be careful when you order Pods. The delivery they have hidden costs if you're a day over your monthly payment they'll charge you another month. I don't think it's fair that they do not prorate it. Also when you call have fun trying to understand there customer service. Nobody called me to tell me the outcome of my open request. I got an email telling me sorry we found it all okay LOL. I would find somebody else!
This is the worst experience I have ever had and would never use pods again. I also recommend that no one EVER use pods. They do not care about your items. I thought actually moving companies was horrible, I was wrong pods is worse. My pod was damaged after it left my property. I get an email a week later after it left my property about what happened. The items I had in there was worth way more than $10,000 which was what it was insured by pods. I asked them besides that if they can just refund me on that pod that was ruined which was about $5,000 so a total of $15,000 and they said no. I’m still losing because my items was worth way more than $15,000 but I would accept being compensated for that. The worker John laughed at this situation which is so unprofessional. The point is they don’t care and are not willing to help in any type of situation.
I cannot say enough about the drivers for PODS. Both the pick up and delivery location drivers went above and beyond in kindness, understanding and willingness to accommodate our needs. The pick up driver was able to successfully navigate the entry requirements for a US Air Force Base. He came with necessary documentation and recognized the importance of security at that facility. Once he arrived into our former neighborhood, he took the time to discuss best placement options for the POD with relation to our garage, driveway and neighbors. I was truly blown away by his professionalism and willingness to do the job effectively and correctly. The delivery driver also had to navigate a secure area and again this driver was both professional and understanding. His suggestion of POD placement saved the day. He was able to place our POD close enough to the garage to save us unnecessary steps and keep us out of scorching heat.
This is a very resourceful, patient, courteous, and very helpful company to work with from begining to end. I would recommend them to all Family and Friends who are planing to move across country, everything was perfect. Even the driver's were respectful and fast with dropping off the POD and picking it back up. Thank you POD'S for your excellent service and patience with our Family.
