Reliance Heating and Air Conditioning

We want to recognize the superb job done by Reliance in fixing a problem we had with our AC unit. We called late on a Friday afternoon to report water leaking from the HVAC unit in our garage. We fully expected to be pushed off until at least the next day (Saturday - which we expected to be more expensive) or more likely the following Monday. Not the case. Reliance said they had a technician (Tristan) in the vicinity who was willing to stop by immediately. The poor guy wound up working on the issue until 8:00 PM until he could get the leak identified and stopped. He was in no rush at all, took time to explain what had happened, explained that he’d had to put a temporary fix in place until he could come back with the right part, and stayed to answer any/all questions we had about the specific issue as well as other general questions we had about the system. He was exceedingly friendly and polite the entire time he was here. His follow up visit was the same. Worked hard, explained what he was doing, and spotlessly cleaned up the area he’d done the work in. While the AC unit was relatively new and under warranty, the original cause of the problem could not be exactly pinned down. It could have been something with the original installation or possibly something we’d inadvertently done to cause it. Reliance offered a substantial reduction in the charge, asking that we pay only $70 for the visit and repair. Considering Tristan now had more than 4 hours of work into the job as well as a new part installed, we were happy to pay the bill. Reliance and their technician Tristan serve as examples of how a business should be run. They bent over backwards to accommodate us on short notice, worked diligently to fix the problem, explained everything they were doing along the way and only charged a nominal fee considering the enormous effort they put into the fix. We highly recommend this company for its capability and integrity. And if we ever need them again, we’re certainly going to be asking for Tristan as our technician of choice.

Reliance has been great to work with! They were able to come to our house within a couple of days. When our problem required another appointment they were able to get it done the very next day. Raul was very knowledgeable, kind and explained everything thoroughly. He did a great job! Will definitely be calling Reliance again in the future.

Reliance Heating and AC was a great referral from a friend! Daniel, the installation supervisor, was quick to respond to text messages or phone calls and answered all of my questions promptly. He demonstrated excellent communication skills and customer service. His estimate was $1200 less than another company’s and he got me on the schedule right away! Kevin and Carlos, the installation technicians were equally courteous and professional. They were on time, hard-working, courteous and very thorough. They kept my house as clean as possible while they worked and warned me when work would get loud or when they were testing the system. The kindness, professionalism, and value of this company is exactly what I expect, but don’t often see. I highly recommend Reliance!

We had a mini split installed in our gym. Daniel, Enrique and Jose did a wonderful job. They were very professional and efficient. Cleaned up after they were finish. We are very happy with their work and our experience with Reliance.

We have been using Reliance for many years servicing our equipment on our commercial building, as well on my home. Last Thursday our office AC went out, it was the compressor, I know they were very busy, but Daniel and his team went above the call of duty, he called for a crane to come out, dismantled the unit, had a new AC delivered and him and his crew set it and connected it. We had our system up and running within 3 hours of the techs diagnosis. These guys went above the call of duty, the best service I have seen from a contractor in years. Thanks You.

We used Reliance AC to replace our 20-year-old unit in July 2023, and it’s been nothing but problems since. We thought we did our due diligence when we decided to use them after our AC broke during the hottest week of summer considering they were a reputable company. It took them 5 days to schedule the install during the hottest week of summer, and the temporary window units they provided didn’t work forcing us into a hotel for a week. Just 14 months later, the compressor failed. Reliance tried to charge us $1,200 for the replacement, claiming to waive labor fees but inflating refrigerant costs. They showed no accountability for such a major failure in a new system, even from ownership not even a phone call. We went elsewhere for the repair. Now, August 2025, only 25 months since install, the compressor failed once AGAIN but only this time the compressor is no longer covered under warranty which is now forcing us to pay completely out of pocket for everything. After multiple consultations, every company concluded this was due to the initial install done by Reliance in 2023. Multiple major breakdowns in such a short time are unacceptable and the company’s dismissive attitude even from ownership made things even worse. We regret ever giving this company our money and will never recommend or use them again. Bottom line: Reliance does not stand behind their work or their products. We will be filing a claim with the ROC. Save yourself the stress and money and take your business elsewhere.
