Small Engine Specialists

I own a lawn care company and have taken tons of equipment here over the years. Most recently brought in 4 of our stand on aerator like we do every year for a preseason inspection. Jacob always takes great care of the machines and us. Very happy highly recommend.

UPDATE: I received calls from both Jake (service manager) and Brady after posting. Both were friendly and professional with me. After a couple pleasant conversations, we found a middle-ground that I think was acceptable to both of us. I appreciate their willingness to make the effort and work to find a solution. I'm giving a couple stars back on the rating because they seemed to genuinely care about service recovery. _______________________________________ Pretty disappointed. Dropped my mower off on a Monday for a tune-up and was told someone would get back to me in a few days. No estimate on cost other than the websites note of $100 plus parts. Thought that information would come with the phone call. Exactly two weeks later, having had no contact, I called to see if I could get an update. The person who answered tried to find my information, then said I'd have to talk to a mechanic, so then I went on hold a bit longer to wait for that. Apparently, no mechanic was available, so he took my name and number so someone could call me back. Then, without any call, I got a text nearly two hours later saying my mower was done and I could pick it up. So had it been done and they just weren't contacting me? Did they just rush through it since they figured out it had been two weeks? Those are the things you'd be left to assume in this situation when nobody is talking to you. Went to pick it up and the tune-up cost $230. That would've been nice to know prior to the work being done. Had I known that, I would've chosen to just go buy a new mower since we were halfway to the cost of one at that point. I did my own informal survey with 6-8 friends to check myself and ask what they would expect to pay given the information I had. All were between $125-170, which is about what I expected. Later that day, I got the usual customer satisfaction survey by text. I gave my experience a less-than-perfect score, to which the survey of course says a manager will contact me to make things right. That has been a week now, again with no contact. The few people I actually dealt with were friendly, and I'm sure they work they did on the mower was perfectly fine, I don't question that. But as a customer I'm disappointed in the customer service process....I shouldn't be the one driving the bus on communication.

Needed my Honda lawnmower serviced due to horrible power. Took machine to Small Engine Specialists, discussed issues, and decided to leave machine even with a long wait for a return. Technician informed me there could be some issues since Honda does not make gas lawnmowers any longer but would check for necessary parts and provide an estimate. Received fair estimate and directed them to perform the service. Service completed and machine runs smoothly. Personnel were sincere and professional.

Kyle at Small Engine Specialists did a great job sharpening our mower blades and chainsaw chain! He was very helpful with the questions we had about how often to bring them in and was very polite. We will definitely be back with more projects!

Must be brand specific on what they repair. I have an older model Craftsman chainsaw it works fine but because of its age one of the fuel lines was brittle and broke so I called to get it repaired and maybe a tune-up if needed. I don't know the person name I talked to but after he found out it was not a Stihl chainsaw he basically told me I should scrap it. Another business replaced fuel lines and told me nothing else needed. I realize I could have changed those lines myself but I wanted a professional to look it over because of its age. It will probably Outlast me. I figured this company going by their name worked on different small engines and the like. No hard feelings sometimes you call a place and you get a hold of the wrong person I have a feeling that happened to me maybe. My chainsaw was made by echo.

The people at SES are great to work with. They helped me select the right mower for my needs. They delivered it to my house and went over everything with me. I look forward to doing business with them in the future
