I can't even begin to explain how rude their customer service is. I called them because I had a couple questions, and the guy that answered their phone just hung up on me for no reason at all. I called right back to explain what I needed and he had already blocked my number. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY HAVE ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WILL NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR THEIR AWFUL PRODUCT THAT THEY SELL TO YOU.
Their dual pane, low-e aluminum frame windows they delivered to my house don't even conform to local building codes. Can't get a permit to install. No refunds policy. Guess I'll sell them to some less scrupulous builder. Better to go with a known national brand.
33 years ago when we built our home we installed 3 self flanging deck mounted skylights by Solar Industries. In that time I've had to replace the plastic domes on each skylight ... but that's to be expected and normal as the expected lifespan of the plastic domes is 10 to 15 years. Even Velux glass skylights last only about 15 years, and are warranted for much less. We've never had a leak from the actual aluminum frame of the 3 Solar Industries skylights. Fast forward 33 years and we're installing a new roof now. When all the shingles and old membrane were pulled off, ALL 3 aluminum frames of the 33 year old skylights were in excellent condition. We decided to replace all 3 deck mounted skylights with new Solar Industries deck mounted skylights because the plastic domes were all cracked again (expected after 15+ years) although the aluminum frames were in great shape. They were still in stock at Contractors Warehouse where we originally purchased the 3 skylights 33 years earlier, and it was simpler and actually cheaper than ordering custom, and the inside dimensions sold were still exactly the same as 33 years ago! Couldn't be happier!
I had a licensed contractor install two Solar Industries skylights. A few years later the glass on the "lifetime warranty" glass in explicatively shattered. Solar Industries refused to honor the warranty and refused to sell me a replacement glass. I will buy a Velux skylight next time. So disappointing!
Very happy with the windows and quality
Horrible experience with representative Don never followed through on promises and blew up on me yelling over the phone
I ordered a skylight replacement from Home Depot that was supplied by this company . It arrived at Home Depot with a corner broken. Replacement arrived at our house with another corner broken.
