Unlike the high-pressure door-to-door solar salespeople, David and Will take a consultative approach. There’s no pushiness — just honest guidance to help you get the best system for the best price. Their installation was top-notch. They treated every panel placement with care, ensuring everything was aligned, secure, and aesthetically pleasing. They even went above and beyond by painting the conduit along the side of my house to perfectly match the house color — an extra touch that really speaks to their pride in their work. In my opinion, this is one of the best contractor teams I’ve ever worked with. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and integrity make them a rare find in the solar industry. Two years before we moved to Virginia we started looking into solar, without any real prior knowledge. William Branch, President of Kilo Hollow Energy always responded to our calls, answering all questions, assuring our understanding, and readily inviting us to call back with any further questions. Of the three companies we looked into, Kilo Hollow was the only one able to discuss both solar arrays and battery storage as one integrated system, with knowledge and confidence. Installation went without a hitch, and all of the team were pleasant to deal with, and efficient in their tasks. From the lead installer Alan, to Rich and Richard the electricians, the system went up without issue. David Branch, William’s dad, coordinated the project, keeping the workers, suppliers, and timetable on target. We could not have been happier with the entire team, and the company, than we are, and I would highly recommend Kilo Hollow Energy to anyone thinking about putting in a solar system.

After Tesla shafted me and canceled my contract/project to install a 2nd Powewall + (due to their 14,000 employee layoff), I contacted Will at Kilo Hollow Energy. He was sympathetic to my situation, and we discussed the possibilities of his company picking up the project. We came up with a plan and within 30 days, Will and Kilo Hollow Energy had my 2nd Powerwall + installed, and up and running. Our solar installation project was essentially 3 major projects combined. 1) The ground array design, location, and installation. 2) The design and installation of the power conduit avoiding septic, satellite, and tv cable of almost 250 feet of trenching, and 3) the design and layout of our solar utility room which was no more than a 6ft. x 6ft. corner of our basement. It took some time to successfully accomplish all of these projects, but the Kilo Hollow team were very responsive and timely in spite of the obvious challenges. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in residential solar. Our project was the Toano installation as seen on their project pages.

THE Very Best! Kilo Hollow Energy installed our 20K Sonnen Battery. Dealing with them was an excellent experience. They really know the Solar business and the intricacies of meshing with our solar array (20K) and huge, weird house. When I call, they answer!

The owner answered my questions about solar very promptly and knowledgeably. Some other solar companies tried to dive right into a sales pitch, but he ensured that my situation was right for solar before recommending anything. Ended up with a backup battery system instead of a full blown solar install because of some shading issues. Didn't waste any of my time or money on things that I didn't need. Overall a very pleasant experience.
