NEC Solar

We had three companies bid on our ground mounted solar array project. NEC had the best quality panels and inverters as well as the most detailed 3D imaging of our site to ensure our future production. The project was completed on time and as quoted. It was a truly turnkey experience with almost no need for our involvement except for deciding the final height above the ground. NEC took care of all of the permitting with our town and contacted Eversource for the right to apply for net metering. We were constantly informed of the progress of each permit. The mounting frame took one and half days to erect despite encountering ledge on all seven mounting points. This required the use of a rock drill. Great care was taken to prevent damage to my lawn while transporting the drill to the site. The remainder of the array, trenching and wiring was completed in four days. After the trench and wiring was inspected the soil was replaced with great care. The array is now operational, and we are pleased to see we now exporting energy to the grid as well as covering the needs of our home. We are very happy we chose NEC as our installer. The project manager, Nick and his crew were a pleasure to work with and they were very respectful of our property. Thank you, NEC!

Not only did NEC Solar make our install experience fantastic, it was their service AFTER install that really showed us how much this company cares. We installed Solar in November 2024 without a hitch. In April, we made the decision to move from our amazing home, leaving this wonderful solar panel system behind. The buyer’s lender was incredibly incompetent and was not understanding our Solar had a loan versus a lease. Dana G, our Solar expert at NEC, went above and beyond to provide more than necessary documentation and explanation that they were aware of the sale and nothing would impact the buyers. If it were not for Dana’s after hours work, we most likely would not have closed on time. Outstanding experience working with NEC, start to finish. From the initial consult and design discussions/options, to the installation and follow-up visits, I was impressed with how professional, knowledgeable, and customer-focused the team was. One thing that stood out was how transparent they were with the various financial aspects of the project, including rebates, tax incentives, and return on investment. I recommend without hesitation.

I bought a 20-panel solar system from them to be installed on my metal roof. As a former civil engineer project manager, they did an outstanding job. They provided an excellent design that optimized my challenging roof orientation, taking into account the shade from each nearby tree. They kept me fully informed and aware of the panels/microinverters/equipment in their proposal, even when tariffs made the original panels unaffordable a week before install. Their alternate solution was a perfect substitution. They did a great job documenting everything, the install was smooth, they went above and beyond to ensure no penetrations in the new aluminum roof, then they did a great job with the permitting, final inspections, coordinating with the utility company, and signing me up for the warranties. One of the microinverters malfunctioned on start-up (it happens, shipping can be rough), and they replaced it within a week, before the utility company could even install a new bi-directional meter. Now my panels are performing slightly better than expected, which I can monitor from my phone, thanks to the app for the Enphase microinverters. These projects can get very complicated and these guys absorbed and deflected so much, I barely did anything, except the required Docusigns. Absolutely worth every penny!

Working with NEC Solar on our 14 kW system was hands-down one of the best contractor experiences we’ve had - truly exceptional from start to finish. Artie (our Solar Engineer) and Nick (our Ops Manager) went above and beyond every step of the way. Artie was incredible. Out of all the companies I requested quotes from, he was the only one who took the time to design a system that fully maximized our roof’s potential. He treated it like a personal mission to squeeze every last panel on there - pushing right to the roofline to get us the highest possible output. He was unbelievably responsive (often replying within minutes), patient with all my questions, and ran multiple design scenarios until we found the one that worked best. His attention to detail and commitment to getting it right made NEC the obvious choice. When Nick took over to manage the install, the professionalism didn’t skip a beat. His communication was outstanding - I always knew what was happening, what to expect next, and he made sure everything stayed on track. Even when we hit a delay with Eversource, Nick stayed on top of it and pushed the process forward. The install itself was seamless, scheduled quickly, and completed exactly when and how he said it would be. He followed up to make sure our system was online in the app and that all the trade credit paperwork was squared away. I’ve worked with a lot of contractors over the last two years while remodeling our home, and NEC Solar has been the best. Their pricing was competitive, their service was top-tier, and their care for the customer experience is unmatched. If you're going solar, talk to Artie and go with NEC. No one will work harder to max out your roof with clean energy.

I had solar panels installed at my house last year by NEC Solar and everything went perfectly. Dana did a great job explaining everything to me and my wife to make us feel at ease and I feel confident that the products they used will preform for the life of the system. The installers did excellent work, were very attentive to our needs and the system looks and works great. We were concerned with the aesthetics and didn't want pipes running on the roof so they ran all the wires through the attic and walls. The system was sized properly and I generate plenty of electricity to cover my whole electric bill, it's nice not to have to pay an electric bill or have to worry about price increases. Great job NEC Solar!

NEC Solar has been amazing to work with. Daryll our sales rep was so thorough and transparent and really took time to explain every detail of the process to us. Alex our project manager worked diligently on the back-end things such as permitting and working with National Grid on our behalf. If you are on the fence about solar, give these guys a call and they can answer any and all questions or concerns you may have about solar. I highly recommend this company!!
