Fortunately, I was on time and canceled my contract. After reading some reviews, I realized I could have fallen into a scam. Someone called me on the phone and said, "Did you know you could get discounts on your electricity bill?" We scheduled a date, but nobody ever showed up — that’s when I first felt something wasn’t right. A few days later, they called again and set up another appointment (I still didn’t know it was about solar panels). The salesperson, Erik Estrada, came to talk to us about solar energy and explained everything in a very nice way, but he never let us read any documents. After making some calculations about potential energy savings — which honestly were minimal — he said, "Let’s fill out the application to see if you qualify." He practically did everything on my cellphone and didn’t allow me to read anything. When he left, I read everything carefully and realized it wasn’t an application — it was a contract that we had signed without him ever telling us. The next day, I called him and said we wanted to cancel because he had deceived us. I almost had to argue with him because he insisted we should have another meeting so he could try to convince us. That call was on October 3rd, and by text message the contract was marked as canceled (I still have the message he sent saying, "Your contract has been canceled"). However, today October 10th, I received a message from the company saying everything was ready for installation. I immediately called to explain what had happened — the salesperson had never canceled the contract. Thankfully, I was still within the 10-day cancellation period, and the lady who answered the phone was very kind and canceled everything right away. I know my review is long, but I wanted to share what happened so that no one else gets scammed. Always read everything carefully before signing or filling out any documents, and if you have any issues, contact the Consumer Protection Office.

Pacific Sky Solar tried to take advantage of my 89-year-old grandfather by sending a pushy salesperson who promised him that the solar system would be completely free and that he would never receive another electricity bill. When I reviewed the contract, it became obvious that none of those claims were true. After doing my own research, I realized this was not only misleading — it bordered on fraud and elder abuse. This company clearly targets elderly homeowners who may not fully understand the complexity of these agreements. Their tactics are unethical and predatory. Fortunately, after weeks of persistence and contacting the California State License Board, the city, and my attorney, I was able to get the contract voided. No one should have to go through this. Please protect your loved ones and avoid Pacific Sky Solar at all costs.

Pacific Sky Solar is a terrible company to work with. They do everything in their power to get you to sign up — constant follow-ups, big promises, and assurances about service and savings. But once that contract is signed, everything they told you seems to go out the window. Communication becomes difficult, deadlines are missed, and the level of customer care drops dramatically. I regret choosing Pacific Sky Solar and would strongly recommend doing more research before trusting them with your project.

I was this close to getting scammed by Pacific Sky Solar. Thankfully, I took a minute to read some of the reviews and asked some friends before signing anything, and wow I dodged a bullet. A lot of people had the same experience, and honestly, it all started to make sense. There are so many better solar companies out there that actually care about their customers. Don’t waste your time or money with these guys.

Thank God I was able to cancel my grandma’s contract with these people in time. Pacific Sky Solar came across as friendly and helpful at first, but it became obvious they were just trying to take advantage of elderly and vulnerable customers. They’ll say anything to make a sale and pressure people who don’t fully understand what they’re signing. I can’t imagine what would’ve happened if we hadn’t caught it early — do your research and stay far away.

Pacific Sky Solar has been going through my neighborhood leaving flyers that appear to be from the LADWP (Los Angeles Department of Water and Power), claiming to offer "discount" and "debt relief" programs. The flyers are designed to look official, which immediately raised red flags. I called LADWP directly to verify the information, and they confirmed that they do not distribute any flyers or materials like this. After further investigation, I called the number listed on the flyer — and it connected me to a sales representative at Pacific Sky Solar. That’s when it became clear this was a misleading marketing tactic, impersonating a utility provider to gain people’s trust. This kind of behavior is not just unethical — it’s dangerous, especially in my retirement community, where many residents are elderly and may be dealing with dementia or other health issues. These individuals could easily believe the flyer is legitimate and end up signing long-term solar contracts that do not provide the benefits being advertised. It’s appalling that any company would exploit vulnerable people like this for a quick sale. I’ve reported this to LADWP’s fraud department, who confirmed they are taking action. In the meantime, I’ve been warning my neighbors so no one else falls for this scam. I’ll post an update here once LADWP provides more information — but for now, please avoid Pacific Sky Solar and be cautious of any flyers or callers claiming to represent the utility company.
