Houston Home Battery Backup - VPP Texas

Vpp told us we qualified for a home battery system. They told us they were expanding into DFW and constructing a new office in grapevine tx. Then the engineer told me we would only be profitable if we added solar to our house. We do not want a company to own the solar panels on my roof. He told me we were not profitable without solar. After reaching back out they again said they could do it without solar. Set a new appointment with an engineer. Then they texted me back and said no. My father also tried to get the battery installed but David said they were pulling out of this area completely. They have ghosted after requesting to speak to a supervisor. Be very careful with this company as they don’t want to give you specific details when asked about how to end service they beat around the bush. Bait and switch is very dishonest.

Was tired of dealing with power outages in Houston and was it was great to work with the team at VPP Texas. They were super professional and really helped with my bill! This new virtual power plant tech is awesome and I’d highly recommend it!

This is a true win-win partnership that is well understood by both sides. The customer gets access to a backup power system for no cost. The company gets an installation point for a battery and its charging system. Additionally, this dynamic partnership will only improve the grid as it scales up. This is truly revolutionary and wouldn’t have been possible without the technology available today. I’m glad they put Texas in their name because this is the future.
