Easy to set up! Now my electricity comes from solar. You won’t notice a big difference in your electricity bill. I live in a teeny tiny studio so my electricity last month was about $85. That’s close to what it was before. The customer service people who signed me up were knowledgeable and did everything quickly. It’s legit!

While I truly appreciate that they are trying to promote clean energy, putting out that nuclear power puts out more pollution of ANY type than burning coal is just plain wrong. The utter stupidity of this killed whatever support I would have had for them.

I have been a Green Mountain Energy customer for several years now. Their pricing has always been fair. The customer service by telephone has been readily available and responsive to my needs and issues.

Complete scam, don’t sign up with them on the street. Your energy bill will double and when you try to get it removed, they put it back on con Edison. To the reply below, I clearly already did and nothing came from it or I wouldn’t be leaving this review. I am not wasting another hr of my life for whoever I talk to, to tell me they can do nothing about the matter.

They have sales reps all over the city running a scam, telling people they are signing a petition and baiting them into switching to their service under the guise of environmentalism. Normally I would just keep it moving, but the sales rep on Vanderbilt in Prospect Heights (on 9/27), Brooklyn became very aggressive when I did not want to sign, and began insulting me and my wife. These people are aggressive and out of control.

I signed up for Green Mountain Energy a few years ago. I signed up because I was interested in renewable energy sources so why not try it out. It was a great choice and I receive an annual rebate check for $100. Today, I was pleasantly surprised to see a booth right outside the neighborhood food coop. Corey,the representative who was manning the booth, mentioned some of the changes the company has made over the years that now includes a focus on wind energy. I am glad that they are still going strong and committed to exploring and investing in new sources of renewable energy.

Guy at grove st on 8/5/25 pitched lies. 100% renewable energy, great, but lower bill costs, it’s about doubled and didn’t disclose a fixed term was tied for a year.
