Wayne's Solar

So far so good....the solar pool heater has only been in a few weeks. It's doing well. Jamie is THE BEST....he will take care of you for sure. The company backed up Jamie nicely. We had a "situation" and Jamie got on it immediately and smoothed everything out.... The install crew are skilled & fast. All our neighbors had good words about Wayne's.

What makes me impress with Wayne's solar is the prompt service they provide. You don't find that service from anyone anymore. The timely service to get my solar panels removed and installed in conjunction with my roof repair was so professional. After installation they came to make sure the solar panels were operating correctly. I haven't seen this from any of the service people I use. I highly recommend Wayne's Solar.

Wayne's team were very knowledgable and professional. We needed our existing system removed for a new roof. During the estimating process, they pointed out inefficiencies and errors in existing system which we were aware of. Rather than reinstall the flawed system, they suggested a more efficient system. The installers also identified an additional improvement they could do at no extra charge! It has worked much better, looks much better and we already see the difference in the efficiency.

Job well done! It's been 17 years since I personally installed my first system in Michigan. This time my wife put her foot down and insisted that someone else do the work. I'm glad she did and I'm glad we chose Wayne's Solar to do the work. Don worked with me to help me modify my plan and Alex and team did the install work in about one day. Everyone was professional and responsive. We are very happy !

My experience with Waynes Solar was great! They helped me get the right size system with battery backup for my dad and his wife. Very happy with the communication and updates from Donnie during installation and set up. I highly recommend this business.

I rarely post here but I believe great service should be celebrated more than bad service should be complained about. With that said, I can only sing praises for Wayne’s Solar. We needed to replace solar panels for the pool heater removed when the roof was replaced. After looking at many options, and speaking with a few, Wayne’s Solar was the next to be evaluated. I called to arrange an estimate, they returned my call to let me know their salesman would contact me to make the appointment. Skip called a few hours later and we negotiated a date & time. He arrived a few minutes early and reviewed our needs. Skip had aerial pics of the former panels and looked at the Aqualogic controller for the pool. Within minutes he had given me a price which he said they would commemorate with a written estimate. Key points from the visit were: - he was very knowledgeable, - he confirmed that they would handle all of the connections to the Aqualogic system including programming for the solar heat, - he reviewed a professional brochure about the company and the panels they use, - he confirmed the 12 year product warranty on the panels manufactured in the US, - he confirmed a 15 year in house penetration leak warranty which included inspection after high wind events, - he informed me that they were running about 3 weeks lead time on installation. As promised, later that day, I received a written estimate exactly as discussed. I approved it the next morning and I got a text confirming an installation date almost exactly three weeks out. He said they did not need a deposit and we would hear from them a few days before the install. On Friday before the Tuesday install, I got a text reminding me of the appointment and an approximate window of arrival. They also asked to make sure their name was on file at the gate. It had rained heavily over the weekend into Monday and I got a text midday letting me know that they needed to move the arrival to Wednesday if that was OK or we could reschedule. I confirmed Wednesday worked and they arrived on time. Unfortunately, after a few hours it was getting ready to rain so they reached a stopping point and let me know the office would contact me to arrange completion. I tipped the guys before they left because they had busted their butts from the moment they arrived. I got a call from the office saying they would be back Friday to finish and to make sure they were on the gate list for that day. Early Thursday, they let me know they could adjust that to Thursday of if I wanted which I did. They came out and finished. They sent me an invoice for the work the next day which exactly matched the estimate given. We now have a professionally installed, warrantied, and properly commissioned solar pool heating system. The job site was left spotless and the workmanship is flawless. We consistently received professional and timely communications. The price was the highest of the bids we received, but it was the only one that was all inclusive with no extras. As some seem to forget here on Nextdoor, you get what you pay for and with trades, price is often not the important consideration. Again, I cannot recommend Wayne’s Solar enough and I hope this helps someone else wade through the myriad options they have.
