Extremely Disappointed – Poor Workmanship and Communication We hired Koala to install spray foam insulation in our 140 sq. ft. sunroom on July 3rd. The crew began around 8:30 AM, and we evacuated our home as instructed. By 10:30 AM, we received a call saying they could not continue because their pump had broken. While we understood that issues can arise, we expressed concern about the inconvenience of having to evacuate again. They assured us they would find another truck and complete the job the same day. Unfortunately, that never happened. Our Ring camera footage confirms that no new truck or equipment was ever brought in. It appears the team used the same malfunctioning pump to finish the job, and the results reflect that. We had paid for 4.5 inches of spray foam in the ceiling. To accommodate this, we had spent the previous week modifying the rafters to provide enough space. However, the foam barely covers the original 3.5-inch joists—in some areas it’s as thin as 1 inch, and even at its thickest, it doesn’t reach the expected depth. In a picture you can clearly see how they did not seal a whole bay inbetween joist allowing heat to come through. The lack of preparation before spraying also caused damage. Foam was carelessly sprayed on newly tinted windows, freshly painted French doors, and the front door. The sprayed over a junction box which by code has to accessible, why they did not wrap it in plastic? We specifically asked them not to get spray on our switch box, see image to see how they did not care. No masking or protection was done despite the small size of the room. To make matters worse, no one from Koala has followed up—even after leaving the job incomplete and in poor condition. We understand it’s a holiday weekend, but after such a disappointing experience, a call from a manager or supervisor would have been the bare minimum. We cannot recommend this company based on our experience.

Updated review: Koala Insulation returned today and they were really professional, apologetic, and kind about taking another pass at cleaning the yard and even brought over new shells, which is what covers the ground of my yard, and soil for the plants. I appreciate them making a nice effort to make this situation right! Previous review: Koala Insulation was hired to do spray foam insulation at my house two days ago and left a huge mess in my home, my front yard, and garden. Instead of being able to work today, I spent 3 hours vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping my floors from all the insulation dust that was left everywhere. The front yard is completely covered in a thick layer of insulation dust, including inside the pot of an avocado tree that my family has been growing for 5 years. They also left trash in my front yard — a roll of tape, plastic water bottle, and sheets of plastic wrap. I was told that Shannon and Andrew were supposed to finish the removal of the insulation, but you can see by these photos that there was a lot left behind. I’ve tried calling Koala Insulation 5 times today and left a voicemail asking if they intend on cleaning this mess and they won’t answer.

Super excellent. These days it is by no means any guarantee that you’re going to get people who know what they’re doing and care about their job. This company ,from the initial contact through today with the job completed has been flawless. They showed me what needed to be done ; and I was definitely barren in some spots in my attic for insulation. Today they came first thing in the morning and very efficiently topped it up. Hats off to Shane and Cody! Great doing business with you !

Every bit of five stars from the guy I kept talking to on the phone that handles the garage door insulation to the guy who went up in my attic and blew the insulation in. Cody informed me of every step. At one point, I wanted to say dude. You are a talker lol but that’s a very good thing when it comes to delivering a service. I absolutely recommend this company. They care.

They were great. Answered my call immediately and schedule an appointment for an estimate. They arrived on time, emailed me the estimate right away and were able to schedule the job within a week. They were professional and everyone I spoke to and came to the house to do the work knew what they were doing. They were efficient and cleaned up any loose insulations bits from the floor of the garage before they left. I appreciate that everyone from the person who took my call, came out for the estimate and did the installation, communicated with each other so everyone was on the same page about the job and what needed to be done. Super efficient and professional. I definitely recommend them.

I needed work done on short notice due to my schedule and the office was able to fit me in. The communication was awesome from speaking to the office and I knew exactly when our installers would arrive. Cody and Jacob showed up, set up, did the attic insulation blow in, cleaned up, and communicated throughout the entire process. It was quick and easy and I would definitely recommend Koala Insulation to someone needing their attic blown in. Thank you and God bless!!
