In Nov-2018 I purchased 36 panels of solar energy with 10 kWh LG battery back up for my house. System continuously has produced power when sunny. There have been issues but each time without even charging me their team has been here to fix it. There have been two times fuse issues, they fixed it. Inventor was changed X 2. An automatic shut off relay for free was added to the system and last but not least my LG battery two times quit and I have got the third battery for free. I think LG didn’t know how to program their battery but finally on this third battery they put a smart program that keeps the charge at 20-50%, before storm it charges it to 100% in case of need. This way battery hopefully can last. First time battery was every night getting emptied then tomorrow on sunny day 100% charged. That battery lasted 4.5 years. Then LG programmed the next battery to always be at 100% charged. The second one lasted 2 years only. This third one is programmed smartly and just now been installed. We shall see how long it will last but after this LG battery , I will buy another factory battery because LG played game and for five months dragged replacing it but be hold; Longhorn solar team persistently went after it and finally approved the battery. I am very thankful to them. I strongly recommended Longhorn solar because they stay with you in thick and thin. My 55k investment was worth it. It has saved me 40% -50% electric bill. On top of that charges my EV car and I have saved 74000 mile driving without paying a penny gas! That is the real saving if you buy an economical EV like Chevy Bolt. Anyway usage of solar has its own challenges but teams like Longhorn practically have gained precious experience with systems like mine and I won’t go any where else. I was not paid for this review and this is the story of almost 7 years of being with them.

My Account Manager, Jameson Dillon, was exceptional throughout the entire solar installation process. His in-depth knowledge and clear communication made everything easy to understand, from the initial consultation to the final activation. The entire Longhorn Solar team (project coordinator Fhilecya Moore and installation team led by David) were responsive, professional, and truly went above and beyond to ensure all my questions were answered and every detail was covered. Their outstanding service not only ensured a smooth installation but also reaffirmed that I had made the right choice. Highly recommend!

I spoke with several solar companies as we were firmly converting to solar. Carmen Franks is professional, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. From start to finish the process went surprisingly smooth and fast. The Longhorn team is top notch and I highly recommend them if you are looking into solar. Carmen truly went above and beyond in helping us. She patiently listened to our concerns and answered all questions very thoroughly. Amazing people to work with and we will refer them!

I am very happy with my choice of Longhorn Solar. I met with 3 companies to quote for solar panels and a battery. It was difficult to choose between the different companies. I picked Longhorn for a number of reasons. Their price was good from the beginning for the REC panels and Powerwall 3 that I wanted. Their payment milestones ensured that they would be motivated to get on with installing and switching on my system. The salesman is actually an account manager which meant he would support me throughout installation and beyond. And their efficient quoting and contract tools suggested they were a well organized company. Sure enough once I signed the contract they got things moving fast with the permits and installation was scheduled within a few weeks. I was kept well informed by their project manager and my account manager. All little issues in permits and inspections were resolved quickly by Longhorn. After 2 weeks of production I love my system. My panels are producing more KWh than I expected and my battery is getting me through the night. Operation is seamless and I no longer have to worry about to grid outages.

I first started considering it in 2017, and got quotes from Longhorn and one other installer. The rep from Longhorn was very gracious and detailed with her quote, and though she did try to use sales tactics to get me to sign, she did not push hard. She respected my caution as I had only moved to my house a year earlier, and had other debts to worry about. They checked in on me periodically to see where I was at in my decision making, but it was literally only once or twice a year. In fact, this year it was me who reached out to them first to get a new quote. As stated by others, customer service is indeed outstanding. I was contacted by one of the higher-ups within the company named Bryan, and he personally walked me through multiple layout proposals, as well as explaining the process of installation, from start to finish. Even after I signed, both he and my assigned project manager Kelli held my hand through the process, answering all of my questions as soon as they could. They did a good job at keeping me up to date on permit acquisitions, scheduling the date of install, and getting city approval to operate the array. As you can see in the attached pictures, the actual installers weren't half bad either. They came in right on time, and within just three hours, they had everything up and running beautifully. I had to wait an agonizing three weeks for the city utility to do a required meter replacement and system test to operate, but it was worth the wait. Not gonna lie, seeing that meter moving backwards as the array overproduced was a good feeling to say the least. I have one particular critique with the process on Longhorn's end of it. I don't know if it was because of what was written down when my property was scoped out for project prep, or a mistake done in their layout planner software, but the installers noticed that the roof of my garage was larger than they were led to believe. The two panels you see by themselves are on the north face (the least efficient face to put panels on), and the original plan was to have four of them lined up there. Thankfully, the field team lead made a quick phone call, and with my thumbs up, they were able to squeeze two more panels on the east and west faces, boosting my guaranteed energy offset to 98%. Though I'm happy this fix was made in real-time, the fact that it took the installers noticing that on their own is a bit disconcerting. This is why I take off a star, and my suggestion to you guys is make sure that the people in the offices know the exact measurements of your roof. Also remember to have the installers double-check to see if those measurements line up with what they were told. Overall, I had a very good experience, and if the service they provided me isn't unique, I don't think you'll go wrong with them. They're not perfect, but no contractor ever is.

My panels were down. They honored my warranty without a fight, ordered what I needed, and got people out here as quick as they could considering my schedule to fix it. Jordan just left and everything is up and running.
