Poor customer service done only through text messaging. Site surveyor won't discuss anything with you. Poorly worded messages which adds to confusion and more questions. Save your $250 initial deposit and time by selecting a different solar vendor. I wasted 3 months with Tesla Solar on an issue that should have been notified with the initial request. A si pme and quick phone call would have cleared up the questions and issues on my solar project. No phone calls fron the solar team to the applicant. If there are issues the electrical panel you need to find an electrician to ha e the issues corrected. I have no clue how Tesla is still in business with such horrible customer service

so far I am not impressed with Tesla Solar. My wife and I will be adding solar to our home before the end of the year. I would like to get a quote from Tesla. I visited the website for more information. We have gotten 2 estimates from other companies. They have been able to speak to us about our needs and wants and give us a free quote based on that. Tesla on the other hand took only the very basic info gave us a basic estimate and asked for a $100.00 nonrefundable deposit. At this point it is unlikely we would use Tesla. even if the equipment is better I am extremely disappointed in the customer service. I feel it's more about money and less about how they can help us. The other 2 solar companies have been very helpful answering the many questions that we have knowing we are talking to others. Not everyone is a solar know it all and needs and wants to ask questions and wants a system designed for us not for everyone that fills out the 4 question form online.

I have 2 inverters and 1 broke. It took Tesla 3 weeks just to look at it and determine the problem. They came and left and noone has said anything to me to what is happening. Three weeks later I called them, waited 1 hour before I was able to talk to someone. I ws told that they had to order a new inverter. Now it has been almost 2 months, my solar is only producing 1/2 of what it suppose to. Anything that goes over gets billed on my smud. It is not right that I now have to pay smud while Tesla is just taking their time fixing the problem. I get it, there's probably a back logged on supplies but to take 3 weeks to determine the problem is ridiculous. They will not do anything for me to help me pay my smud bill.

I had to have the panels removed to do some roof work at my home. It took over a month to get the contract so that they would remove the panels. I set up with the person i spoke to at their call center to store the panels at their warehouse since we didn't have much room in the backyard. While i was on the phone she called the warehouse to make sure there would be room for the panels and she confirmed to me that it wouldn't be a problem. When they arrived they had no idea what panels that they were removing or that they were going to be taking them to a warehouse. I called the call center again to see what was going on and before they even took my information they just said that other person was wrong and they weren't the right person to speak to anyway. i was put on hold and the call was dropped.

Worst company ever! Solar power is great idea but for Gods sake doNOT use this company. They don't answer phones, don't respond to email, don't fix anything that broke. I'm stuck with a contract previous homeowner signed that won't expire for severalore years. I'm about to sell the house do I won't have to deal with Tesla

Maybe you'll have better luck selling your products to state departments and governments instead of the private sector. They'll probably even grant funding to build your solar roof/panels in public schools or military installations.

It’s been six months since they came out and have not fixed it yet. They know the problem the inverter is broken.
