Complete Solar

I don't like leaving negative reviews but here we are... This company has been lousy at communicating. At first, they were awesome. Very responsive. But as soon as the agreement was signed, they basically ghosted us. It took months to complete the process and when the PTO was authorized, there were many issues. They had 4 different contractors come out to take a look at the issue and they each kept blaming other contractors. Not only that, but there's a guarantee clause in my that agreement with them stating they would cut a check for underproduction. Our TrueUp showed that the panels under performed and after numerous calls and emails, they finally admitted that they owed us a check for over $1200. In March of 2024, they said they would we would receive the check in 6 weeks. I sent numerous emails and tried to call with no luck, to finally receive an email response from them stating that they've fallen on hard times and that they ,"apologize for the inconvenience." Here we are 15 months later and we still haven't received a check nor have we heard back from them. This company is a complete scam and I'm contemplating taking them to court at this point.

Our experience with Complete Solar was an up and down experience. The salesman (John Elton) was thorough and professional. We had multiple Project Managers, but one in particular (Gianna Neufeld) guided us through the last half of the process and kept me update on everything. Without Gianna this project could have been a disaster. The star of the process however was the Special Projects/Installation Specialist (Gabe Martinez). Without him taking over this project, advising us on multiple installation options and steps, going above and beyond to ensure the project stayed on course and installing our new main panel, converter box, and conduit piping, I believe this project could have fallen apart. Overall I am happy with Complete Solar as the navigating delays with PG&E professionally, delays with City Inspectors diligently, managed the permit process, and complete work as desired. In total our project took just about a year…November 2022 (contract signed) to final inspection in November 2023. Again, our project included a main panel upgrade (MPU) that complicated a few things and took extensive time through PGE.

Got the solar installed via a new home purchase. Initially they said the solar would be up and running in 8-10 weeks. Now we are at week 20 and this year's summer season is also coming to an end. Complete Solar hasn't responded to any of my mails, I could reach their customer support for couple of times earlier [2 months ago]. Now I can't reach them over phone, you will be placed on indefinite hold. Complete waste of time and resources.

This company is a fraud. Sandra Smith hired my company to swap the inverter for her customer in Georgia and then never paid us. Their invoice is overdue and they're ignoring our calls. We're going to have to put a LIEN on their customer's property.

I am experiencing many of the same issues with this company as the other recent reviews. My partner and I bought a new home in August 2024 when the builder was partnering with SunPower. We chose to purchase the panels because the amount it added to our mortgage would be less than the cost of leasing. At closing, SunPower was bought out by Complete Solar. We were told it would take 13 weeks for our panels to be activated. Even after providing our information to finally get started in December, there was no communication to follow up. In March, we were contacted again to provide the same information again and we did, but again no follow up. When we received a communication from PG&E stating we were about to lose the ability to qualify for enrollment, we contacted our builder for help. Even they had to reach out multiple times over the course of two weeks before we received contact. When customer service did reach out, they claimed we had been difficult to get in touch with but that our system merely needed to be remotely activated. I followed their steps only to find that my system was already up and running - none of the steps needed to be completed because everything was already on. When I emailed back indicating that I had not been contacted since March and that the system was already activated but not producing solar according to the app, they said to just wait a few days or schedule someone to come out if I didn’t want to wait. I called the number provided and it didn’t give me the option to schedule service. I ended up leaving a voicemail. Hoping someone calls me back to come check the system and panels, but I’m not holding my breath. Like many others, I didn’t have a choice in solar providers because of the home builder I went with and the fact that the original company was bought out when I was under contract. If you have a choice - don’t choose this company.

I gave one star because zero is not an option. My stucco has been missing since October 2022. I signed contracts 2 years ago. They are still not done. They send workers out on a Sunday, but the company is not open. Today, they shut off my power for 2 hours. I was not informed. Now my refrigerator isn't working. I have no way to contact them. Their voice-mail is full. Avoid this company at all cost!

I can't tell you enough do not go with this company they are apparently doing new installs and not taking care of the past installs they have completed. THey do not answer their phone and have no answer for failing systems. if I could rate them zero stars I would have I have had 2 micro converters go out in july of last year and I have yet to get a response
