Our experience working with Ambrose had nothing but great. We have enough roadblocks in our install from permitting to design but Ambrose team was diligent, persistent and highly communicative. The messaging service that Ambrose uses has kept us apprised of all the updates. Even post install- Ambrose has been answering our questions about usage in detail and are fully supportive. I recommend Ambrose to anyone looking for a midsize solar company to do the work for you.

WOW what a great experience! We talked to SunRun, Save a Lot and Semper Solaris and ended up going with Ambrose based on Knowledge of salesman, Price, Experience in the industry, Reputation, Product choices, Reviews and affiliation with local lenders. Tory, our salesman at Ambrose was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and offered many options, never tried to push us in any direction. He was quick getting back to us when we had questions. The install took two days and that team was on time, clean and more than willing to answer questions during the install. The engineering team was also quick but PG&E was slow at the initial permit and also the final PTO (permission to operate) so overall the whole process did take about 5 months. We financed our system through Star Bank although Ambrose does have financial partners like Travis CU we managed to get a better rate. Our system is just over 10kw with (2) 13.5kw batteries so we've been 100% self reliant even with summer AC and our electric car which is a FANTASTIC feeling. We highly recommend Ambrose! With the 30% federal tax incentive ending this year (2025) we were told that you'll really need to purchase before the end of July. There is a referral incentive too so give them my name. If you like I'd be happy to answer any questions. Our first PG&E bill was $7.66 with a credit of $23.99 (not including gas) which will be given back to us as either a credit towards gas or a check at the annual true up anniversary next June. At our 30 day follow up appt yesterday our rep told us it should be well over $1000! There's also a follow up appt at 1 year and I think 2 year as well. We can't say enough good things about Ambrose Solar. Our system was installed by Sunrun when the home was built. We had terrible Customer Service from Sunrun. We had heard nothing but positive things about Ambrose Solar so we reached out to Ambrose. They were immediately helpful. When they came out to install a new inverter, they were very professional, honest and knowledgeable. They assessed our whole system and had it up and running perfectly in no time at all. The communication with Ambrose was always clear, concise, and effective. We highly recommend this trustworthy Solar Company for any Solar Issues you might have. They truly took a stressful situation and made it a success.

We contracted with Ambrose to install our solar panel and backup battery last year and the system has been working great for the last 1.5 years. From the initial assessment, through installation, and final inspection with PG&E, all staff we worked with from Ambrose are very professional. Whenever we have a question for the project, they are just a phone call away. They even helped us apply PG&E’s SGIP incentive program and Stephanie Reiser patiently guided us throughout the process, submitted the necessary documents for us, and we finally received the check from PG&E after a year. About 1 year ago, after carefully considering several solar companies, my wife and I chose Ambrose Solar. From beginning to end, their sales representative, technical crew, installers, and after installation/rebate staff were truly outstanding. Ambrose Solar’s team was very professional, knowledgeable and responsive to our questions/needs; Kelsey Commerford (sales) and Staphanie Reiser (utility coordinator) were particularly helpful in recommending the right system for us and ensuring that our rebates were properly filed and reimbursed. The high-quality products that they recommended and installed (20 x REC Solar Panels and 1 x Powerwall 3 Tesla battery) have been very reliable, came with a 10-year warranty, and have already made a big positive difference with our monthly PG&E electric bill, especially during the long and sunny days of summer. We recently worked with Ambrose Solar in Vacaville for a solar upgrade project, and we couldn’t be more pleased with their professionalism, expertise, and overall customer service.
