Lunex Power made my solar process smooth. After reaching out to Lunex Power directly, I was put in contact with their direct sales person, Brian B. Brian did a fantastic job! I've worked in sales and know what it takes. Brian was responsive and addressed all my questions quickly and thoroughly. He designed a system that met my requirements. Something I can't say for the other 5 solar companies I had contacted before Lunex. It was a great start on this solar journey. After signing the contract I received a call right away to begin the process. First up was the site survey. During the site survey Tyler D. confirmed my electrical panel was up to standards, the roof pitch as well as my roof structure was strong enough for solar. After that, the design team put together the documentation package to be submitted for permits and my electrical utility to review for permission to install. Once the permits were received, the installation was scheduled quickly. The installation team arrived as scheduled and completed the installation quickly. They answered all my questions and clean up afterwards. Now the arduous part, inspections. You're at the mercy of your inspectors schedule. It took over 6 weeks from installation until my utility company installed the Net Meter and Permission to Operate (PTO) was issued. Everything was sequential. First, Fire inspection, then Electrical inspection, then the Building inspection. Finally over to the Utility for final review and Net meter installation. But Lunex Power does a great job keeping you informed throughout each milestone with emails and text messages. You just have to be patient. The Lunex Portal where you're supposed to be able to track your project, see major project updates and see my contract info as well as access all documents didn't work after the initial Site Survey and Engineering phase. It's a nice idea, but was useless for my project. It would have been nice to have this, but Lunex Power does such a nice job or keeping you informed throughout the process, that the Portal was not necessary. Then after the Net meter is installed and the PTO is issued, Lunex activates your solar system remotely. Finally, the last step is that Lunex makes sure that you have created your Enphase account to monitor your new solar system. This is done through the Enphase website and/ or the Enphase Enlighten App. Will G. from Lunex schedules a virtual meeting to go over these monitoring features and answer your questions on your new solar system. Overall from signing the contract to PTO took 3 months, 14 days. And it took 3 months, 29 days from when I first reached out to Lunex Power until PTO.
First of all I want to thank Will for his great help and efforts, he was very quick to respond to our inquiries and concerns. He immediately acted positively and we were so happy for his kindness and support. Our solar system supposed to be in action few months ago but for some technical issues which took long time to process. Now our solar system is working good and we hope to see the results of reducing our bill in no time..
Pretty easy experience, fairly timely communication, no issues with the install team. Dealt with the utility and inspections in a timely manner, and kept me in the loop without me asking. They were also the cheapest of five quotes I got for similar systems.
Too many issues 1. The installed panels were NOT screwed in the roof beams, they can be loose. Lowsy work. 2. They installed REC450 instead of 460 that was promised. 3. They dont pick up the calls and no reply on the emails that I sent to raise concerns about the above two points. Very unprofessional.
Pretty smooth experience, we started this process back in January and up and running at the end of June. We had a great experience with Lunex Cam was fantastic and knowledgeable in explaining everything to us. Zack was also very helpful and lastly Will got us up and running in the final stage. Only snags were with the county. Overall great experience!
As someone else stated, do not use Lunex if you live in MA. Each step is like pulling teeth to get a response. At one point I needed to send 4 follow up emails and 2 phone calls to get a response... only for the response to be "we are working on an update for you." Basic communication of information, timelines and next steps would have gone a long way. On a positive note, the install went well and the panels look good. Hopefully they will be functional soon. I was promised an update today which never came... shocker.
I was connected to Lunex through their partnership with East Coast Metal Roofing (ECMR), as an installer that maintains the roof warranty. Brad, Katie, and Andrew at Lunex were all fantastic to work with throughout the process. Brad walked me through the quote, the options, how many panels we could fit (and the layout), and an estimate of how much coverage that would get us. The handoff between ECMR and Lunex in the work process was seamless. Before the install, unfortunately the specific panels that we had ordered weren't available, but Lunex instead provided me with the slightly higher powered option at no additional cost. Any time I needed to reach out to the team, they were always prompt to respond. Katie was amazing, navigating delays that arose through the city's and Eversource's side of the process (signing off on inspection so things could move to Eversource for Permission to Operate, and then waiting on Eversource to respond to the PTO), with Andrew even going in person to the city to help push the process along at one point. Katie did her best to try to keep the process between them and the city and them and Eversource, rather than it having to be on my plate, which I truly appreciate. Once those barriers were overcome, within an hour or so of getting permission to operate, my panels were on and I had access to the account for the app, allowing me to monitor my system.
