Love our solar! It was an easy process. They were professional, prompt, and friendly. The crew was efficient and very neat. It was almost as if they weren’t here. The sales rep Jay was very helpful in answering all of my questions regarding the process, money, and how solar benefits me. My account rep Marsha was pleasant to work with and had great customer service. The installers showed up when they were scheduled and were the upmost polite individuals I have ever dealt with! The panels look great on my house and you can't even see them from the street view! I couldn't be a more satisfied customer!

Just at home inspection done because after a 6-inch snow I started having Cracks around the molding and soffits in my home. Called an extremely reputable home inspector just to have him tell me that the areas that sold in put their solar equipment and they did not protect from leakage so my entire roof and all of the insulation is ruined. Not only that but my ceilings and walls are now damaged because of Solgen's negligence. And as usual they are almost impossible to get an actual person by phone. So that if this is affecting you also please reach out I am in the process of shopping for an attorney that is willing to file a class action lawsuit against the continuous negligence of this company.

I cant express this enough. DO NOT choose this company for your solar needs. Customer service and management are awful. They care nothing about their customers, and only that you are buying panels from them. If I wasn’t constantly calling and scheduling things no one would show up to get any work done, and thats if you talk to the correct person. On top of that they never finish the work they are doing or follow up to schedule the next steps. My story: Upfront they seem great. But, also look at other reviews saying this is no longer the case. I got my solar in March of 2021. Everything seemed ok. Unfortunately I had a house fire that destroyed backside of my roof. Panels not affected but had to be removed. This is when my very poor experience begins. No one I talked to locally or in Washington knew how to handle this situation and it took months to get an uninstall scheduled. I am in the final stages, finally, of getting my house fixed and trying to get the solar reinstalled. This has been the worst customer service I have ever received. I would rather spend time trying to get something done with a phone company or the IRS. They do not schedule or follow up on any work unless i call and make sure it is done. they seem to have no idea what is going on with my reinstall and what work needs to be completed. I have been dealing with this since October 23 and my system is still not finished and i have had to schedule every phase of work as they have no idea what is going on. How hard would it have been to send someone out see what was going to be needed to be done and schedule all of the work at one time. Do not choose this company.

System took 6 months to get going. And after a year has saved me almost nothing on my electric bill. Got a large system looking forward to covering most of my potential and future electric needs. All in all I have a 350$ a month payment for the system and it’s saved me around 50$ a month on my bill. Absolutely waste of money. Never again

We are extremely disappointed in the service we have received from the roofing team at SolGen over the last 2+ months. When we call to speak to someone in customer service, they are all pleasant to talk to, but the roofing teams are another story. Our bedroom ceiling is now badly damaged because of a repair they claimed to "fix" in November. The roofing team shows up without calling to notify, or says they’re coming and never shows up. During our first fix in March, it was admitted that they have had to fix multiple issues with installs from a specific crew. Do not offer a 10 year warranty on installation if you can not follow through with the fixes. March 2022: Roof leak. Solgen was quick to fix it. Worker stated the install team working in 2020 had poor workmanship, and they were fixing multiple installs from that crew. October 31: Roof leak developed. An unaffiliated roof inspector determined the cause to be a loose bolt on the solar panel. November 3: Called Solgen to notify them about the leak and about the loose bolt. Was quoted as 5-10 business days for the fix. November 15: Solgen allegedly calls an incorrect number and emails me (I have no record of this email). They claimed the number on file was wrong (despite having called me about the previous roof leak). November 17: Called Solgen to check in on the case. They claimed they would investigate why the call was not completed. November 25: Called Solgen to check in on the case. November 28: Called Solgen to check in on the case. November 29: An unmarked work truck shows up to the house. 2 workers place a ladder on the front of the house and spend less than 90 seconds on the roof (2 minutes from the time they step on the ladder to the time they step off). November 30: Called Solgen to inquire about the truck. The customer service department does not have access to the roofing schedules and could not confirm, but would check with them and get back to me. December 1: Solgen confirmed the 11/29 crew was theirs, and they allegedly were determining if electrical team was needed (for the loose bolt which was already mentioned to them). December 19: Called Solgen. Solgen allegedly reached out to the roofing team again. This is absolutely ridiculous. Please stand behind your products, your warranties and your installs and actually fix the issues when they arise.

My solar panels were installed in January. They were turned on in May. I saw a change in my to my energy bill in June. And since July 2, I don’t believe My solar panels have been working. It is very difficult to get a hold of them and to get answers. When you get a hold of them, they promise and never fall through.
