I had an electric upgrade done at my home and I am very impressed with the timeliness and communication of the Teco bucket truck driver. He arrived just before the electrians (literally) cut my power, gave me his cell phone to call when the inspector had approved the new box installation. I made that call and he returned with another lineman in 12 minutes after I initiated that call with a new power line to my home. I consider myself very lucky because I have very low power bills.

Customer service folks are great, but buckle up, you'll need to get use to talking with them. Billing, ridiculously slow time in linking accounts, insane security deposits. Terrible. Live in a community where all the power is underground, yet I'm paying a monthly fee so TECO can put other lines underground. Crazy communist company.

TECO wants to charge me for service after my apartment lease had ended. I called and tried to explain I was in the process of moving and transferring my TECO account to a new address, but they say it's my fault and are going to charge me for the electricity bill that the apartment or another new tenant was using for about 2 weeks. I also feel I was not properly notified about the cancelation policy by the apartment complex or TECO, as I asked for some evidence of where to find the cancelation policy but they could not provide me that. Feels terrible and they probably away with this often.

Historically, unethical company, currently taking advantage of consumers at risk of heat stroke during extreme heat waves is now overcharging entire Tampa communities even when many of us have been using window AC to lessen the financial burden. Convenient, Automated Costumer Service desingned to ignored Consumer rights and concerns despite the severity of the situation.

Always rising prices might need to a new power company soon because they suck

Been in Tampa over 20 years and Teco is by far the dirtiest electricity due to numerous power surges and most unreliable electrical company. Moved to Pasco county thinking I finally got away only to learn the south side, my side of street is still on the Teco grid. Again my power goes off while my neighbors across the street and the rest of the community is lit up nice and bright. Stop raising rates if you can't supply reliable electricity.

If u like getting screwed over with heavy prices you found your people for a 2 bed apt what a joke will make it a goal to never live where this company is ever again
