Ultimate Automotive

Very accommodating staff! I rely on Ultimate Automotive for maintenance on all 4 of my vehicles. Everything from tires, oil changes and breaks. I've been lucky enough to not have major repairs but would not hesitate using Ultimate for them if/when they arise. UPDATE: I have had the crew at ultimate do more extensive work on my older vehicles now, and it was a great experience. Love these guys!

This shop is a hidden gem! I live just a few miles away and was referred by AAA today when my battery died and AAA didn’t have one in stock. I called and talked to Cole, they didn’t have the battery in stock. He said they may have one available and would call me back. Within 10 minutes I had a call back from Cole stating the battery was on it’s way. He stated the battery would arrive within an hour, it would take 20-30 minutes to replace and they could get it done right away. After making several other calls, I was thrilled and drove right over. They offered to shuttle me back home however with the quick turnaround, I opted to stay. I noticed when the mechanic started my car again they didn’t need to jump it. I was told they’d check the batter before replacing it. It did have a bad cell so it was replaced. Also, the original quote was higher than what I paid. I’d rather have an over estimate than under. Pleasantly surprised in so many ways! The lounge area is very nice and clean. Water, coffee, several chairs, Wi-Fi and a clean bathroom. My return call from Cole was at 10:43am and I was on my way home by 12:30pm. I also worked with David who was fantastic and explained my warranty and answered a few other questions I had. I drive a hybrid so not all mechanics will work on these vehicles but Ultimate Automotive will. Another positive I will mention is the shop didn’t smell like cigarettes, oil or anything else some mechanic shops smell like. It’s never fun to have a surprise expense but on the positive, I have found my mechanic in Sioux Falls that I trust and am grateful they are trustworthy and close to where I live! Update: May 2023 Came in for an oil change. David brought out my filter to show it to me and gave me the option to replace. He was pushy at all. Oil change took a little over an hour. They sent me a 26 point inspection report, very detailed. Still highly recommend!! There is a very good reason they were voted local best.

I don't typically write reviews but I am very concerned with the recent service I received at this location. I took my suburban in for an oil change, new brake pads, and tire rotation. After getting my vehicle back I noticed an odd noise coming from the front driver's side area every time I hit a small bump. I took the vehicle back in to see if they could diagnose the issue. I was told that the issue was most likely due to my struts getting weaker and suggesting that they be replaced soon. My wife took two of our kids out of town with the vehicle the following day and came back saying the vehicle was making a lot more noise. I got in the vehicle and was now unable to go in reverse without a loud clunk and grinding sound. I decided to take the vehicle to another shop for a second opinion. They immediately identified that one of the bolts was missing on the driver's side brake caliper. I relayed this information to Ultimate Automotive and was told "it could have happened when they replaced the brake pads." I brought the vehicle back in to Ultimate Automotive one last time for them to rebalance the wheel that was now out of balance due to the caliper slipping because of the missing bolt (that had already been replaced by the other shop for free due to safety concerns with me driving the vehicle back to Ultimate Automotive). I was very concerned with Ultimate Automotive's lack of taking responsibility. I doubt the individual who made this mistake even knows it happened as nothing was said to me when I brought the vehicle back for tire rebalancing. I pray this does not happen to someone else as I now understand that this missing bolt could have resulted in brake failure, wheel lock-up, etc. Could have been a lot worse.

Took my chances on a near by local automotive shop, close was important, but friendly customer service, and quality car care needs were a must! I got everything I needed from ultimate automotive! Benn is the best, he will hear your needs and outperform every time from the front desk, he has a great team of mechanics! From major repair to as simple as new tires, I have found my new local best for car care needs! Up front and honest!

Absolutely fantastic service from these fellas. I have a 2008 Nissan Titan that was giving me the absolute fits for a year, and not even the Nissan dealer was able to help me out. After getting set up with an appointment at Ultimate Automotive, these guys were able to promptly diagnose the intermittent crank-no start issue and get it fixed within a week. I was always told that with foreign vehicles, you're better off taking it to the dealer - that certainly wasn't the case here! These folks do great work and have earned my business.

Always great service. Knowledgeable, friendly, and affordable. Ultimate Automotive was able to accommodate my needs and fit me in in a very reasonable time frame. They ran a diagnostics test on my car to determine what exactly was wrong. They explained the issues and the urgency of them, ultimately providing us with the option to take care of them if we’d like. If I could give 10 stars I would!

These people are the very best auto shop around. They treat you right and wouldn't throw a bunch of parts in that you don't need.
