PMG Mechanical was a pleasure to work with. After receiving two other quotes from other companies, Steve Breikss HVAC Manager came to my home and did a far more thorough assessment of our needs. Not only did he make recommendations of things that would be more energy saving and cost efficient, he was forthright about things we did not need (that were recommended by the other companies). The bid was very competitive, and Steve helped us to maximize our rebates through PSE. Jennifer was great to work with in scheduling the work to fit our busy schedule and in setting up our maintenance plan for the future. Adam, Tobin, and Clayton were great during the install. They arrived on time and as scheduled, and worked full days. They left my home in a neat and workmanlike fashion. We ran into an unexpected wiring issue with my old furnace, but Tobin, Steve, and the team at PMG worked with the regional Carrier rep to figure out a solution at no additional cost to me. I have dealt with numerous HVAC companies in the Puget Sound having owned 4 homes. PMG is by far the best I have worked with. I highly recommend them.
I have a 3-year generator service contract for our gas powered whole house generator which I like. It gives me priority servicing in case of any emergency. The price is reasonable over a 3 year period compared to an emergency call price. The customer service is great. And, the service report and pictures are nice to have showing the maintenance work performed and the status of the generator. I highly recommend this company.
I contacted Washington Generator via their website in early September 2025 to establish a maintenance contract for our 1-year-old Generac 24W generator. On September 12, 2025 Washington Generator sent out their technician Jose Jimenez to service our Generator. I gave Jose access to the generator, the external box and the garage circuit breaker box. After only a few minutes onsite, Jose informed me that our Generator was installed with insufficient natural gas fuel line and it would have to be replaced before he could service our Generac Generator. Jose also told me that if we do not replace the natural gas line, Generac would void our 5-year warranty. I asked Jose for a detailed breakdown of the issue and an estimate to correct the "incorrectly sized natural gas pipe". I wanted to share the detailed report with the original installation company. That day I received via email a generator assessment that provided no information about pipeline or its replacement. I contacted Washington Generator on Monday September 15, 2025 inquire about the detailed assessment of the issue with the natural gas pipe line replacement. Nina Portillo sent me via email a few specifications from the Generac Installation guide, again with no explanation of why the natural gas line needed to be replaced. On September 17, 2025, I received an estimate from Washington Generator with a total of 3 words on it "Gas Line Rework" and an amount of $4,408! After I contacted Home Depot, the original generator installer, Generac and the City of Kent L&I (who approved and permitted the installation), it was determined that in fact the natural gas line to our Generac Generator is installed correctly and the line is providing the required amount of natural gas to our generator that is required per Generac for normal operation. I am not sure what the reason for the money grab from Washington Generator was about, but be assured they will not be our company of choice for future maintenance or repairs to our Generac Generator. Not only did they lose a customer, they also lost out on a $1,100 service contract and of course their bogus $4408 "Gas Pipe Rework".
Washington Generator distinguished themselves as the best of the best in our Generac 22 KVA generator install. Starting at the end, a few days after install high winds in the area knocked out power for almost a day. The transfer switch transferred power to the Generator efficiently and from around 12:30 AM to 2:30 PM the generator worked perfectly and we were one of the few homes in our area that was warm. We showered, used all our appliances like normal. It was magical. The install started at the end of November. Eric, our salesperson, provided full information and confidence in his Company. Sydney, our in-office, liaison kept us in the loop and handled the challenges. Jeremy and his team delivered, installed the generator, installed the gas lines and electric conduit and wire neatly and worked efficiently into the night. When it was time to connect the Generator electric to the PSE main feed, the fireworks display happened! The main feed was loose enough that connecting to it caused arching that looked like the 4th of July. Despite the fire hazard, PSE was not able to come out to cut off power for over 1 month! When they returned WG was onsite to install a new meter box and connect the transfer switch and gas to the generator. Watching Mitch work under the pressure of PSE waiting to turn the power back on was a view of his efficiency and professionalism that Jeremy showed on the initial install. After the install was complete, Mitch made sure that I was clear on the operation of the Generator, the Appliance Buffers, the Earthquake Switch, and WiFi operations. I give this Company the highest praise for the highest level of service. On Jan 2, 2024, Washington Generator did my Generac Generator's 3rd Annual Maintenance. The Tech arrived promptly and worked efficiently to restore our mission critical power source to a like new condition. After the service, I received a series of pictures that document the clean and fresh condition of the inside and outside of my generator. Great Company and Great Tech. In July, 2025, the SMM module that balances the load when the transfer switch returns power from the generator to PSE failed resulting in our Clothes Dryer not operating on AC power. A call to Washington Generator offices resulted in their sending a tech in a matter of only a couple of days. Their tech, Austin, installed the new version of the SMM which required a clever installation trick to utilize the existing housing that was installed. He worked efficiently and did a great job in short order. Clearly a smart and experienced tech. The SMM's were covered under warranty. Washington Generator again distinguished itself as top tier.

We had our Generac generator installed by Washington Generators 5 years ago and it has worked great whenever we've needed it. WG does annual maintenance on the generator and they keep it running great. They show up when they say they will and go over the work they've done, which so far has been changing the oil, air filter and spark plug and making sure the battery is okay. We've had no problems with the generator or Washington Generators.
After the bomb cyclone experience, it was imperative to have a natural gas generator added to our house. WG installed the gas lines and placed the whole house generator in a great location. They configured the breaker box to include septic and an ADU. They arranged the proper inspections. An additional benefit was their acquisition of PMG Mechanical who converted our gas furnace to a A/C and heat pump unit efficiently utilizing the space in the basement of our 92 year old house. We are glad for the comfort of these updates. Friendly folks to deal with.
