National Weather Service Office - Fort Worth/Dallas

Did a tour with my kids here and the staff was great! Very friendly and patient and I learned a lot too- definitely a worthwhile field trip.

Interrupting the program every 2 minutes is totally uncalled for !

I have been a storm spotter/chaser for over 20 years, train spotters in Sachse RACES,, and have developed and taught educational severe weather classes Used in schools since 2006. The FWD NWS office is outstanding in their forecasting abilities and their communication with the entire North Texas Region. I depend on their information with each severe weather event. They are a wonderful asset to have in our community.

Awesome team. I called them looking for help with traveling forecasts. The guy that answered the phone was very helpful and helped me understand my drive home. Even more, the my current location was out of his responsibility area but he still helped out. Great organization.

Leaving a review out of the shear humor that a meteorological survey office (granted it’s a local subset within NOAA’s national structure) has a google maps review option. On the flip side they have a super communicative social media presence and excellent seasonal spotting classes.

As a storm spotter, storm chaser and living in the North Texas area I find that the Fort Worth office of the National Weather Service does an incredible job in every facet of their responsibility. From yearly Skywarn training to weather forecasting and real time storm watches, warnings and taking reports from those of us in the field, they are top notch!
