Big Sur Adventures, Cannery Row Monterey

We had an incredible time riding electric bikes around Monterey and down past Pebble Beach — a true bucket list moment! Huge shoutout to Kristen for bringing the stoke — she was kind, communicative, and a ton of fun. The bikes were in excellent shape, and the route map was super easy to follow. Kristen made everything smooth and stress-free. Our 12-year-old’s electric bike dreams came true (if only for an afternoon), and we loved every minute of it. Wasn’t expecting much but wow, one of the highlights of our trip! Was very nervous coming into this, since I had never cruised on an e-bike, but Flo, our amazing tour guide, was very understanding and helpful! Not only that, but he was knowledgeable on all things Carmel and Monterey! Would definitely recommend taking the tour with Flo, as he was easy going and funny! would come back! Thank you Flo

My husband booked a private tour online for our family. Victor, our tour guide, was very patient and accommodating to our needs, specifically mine because I'm new to e-bikes. Fitting is a bit tricky with me, but he was able to find one that would have worked. However, I wasn't comfortable enough to ride it. So he recommended the trike. I was nervous at first but I was more willing to try it. He took us in the back to practice first and gave us the basics before hitting the bike trail. We took it slow at first for my benefit. He took us to the coast guard station and gave us some history lesson of the area and interesting info on the marine life around this area. I dreaded our trip back but he continued to be very patient with us, stopping along the way to check on us. Once I started to feel more comfortable with maneuvering the trike and around people, we continued to Lover's Point. The ride to that place was a lot better and relaxing. I was able to look around to check my surroundings and check out the variety of foliage, flowers and trees. We stopped in other areas as well, but I will not discuss those places here to keep it a surprise for his next customers. We stopped at the beach/cove at Lover's Point. I hung out there while the rest of my crew went a little farther, riding on the shared road with other vehicles. Afterwards, Victor took us back to the shop safe and sound! Thanks, Victor, for a great adventure! My family had a great time!

Hands-down the BEST pace to rent your e-bike. The staff was very friendly, so helpful, and laid-back. The bikes were all in great shape and the rental price was beyond reasonable. The trail starts right outside the bike shop! You can't get more convenient than that. I will be a repeat customer.

We had the absolute best time with Zane from Big Sur Adventures! He took myself, my sister, and my 12-year-old nephew on a beautifully curated coastal drive that we’ll never forget. Zane was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the region’s history and natural wonders, but also so thoughtful and attentive to our curiosities. He took the time to stop along the way, pointing out hidden gems we would have never noticed on our own—from playful otters and sunbathing seals to secret beach paths and legendary surf spots. Zane made sure every part of the journey was meaningful and fun, especially for my nephew. He helped him get up and riding on an e-bike for the first time—his face lit up with joy! Zane’s passion for the area, his patience, and his kind, soulful nature truly made this an unforgettable adventure. With full hearts and huge smiles, we can’t recommend Big Sur Adventures enough. And to Zane—thank you. You were the highlight of our trip and we’re so grateful for the magic you shared with us.

From the time of arrival, with a large convenient parking lot next-door to the store, to the wonderful worker behind the counter who helped us choose our bikes, to a fantastic ride all the way from Monterey Cannery Row to Carmel and back, with an absolutely perfect day! We were concerned whether there would be a large enough battery to last us the entire ride, and a number of us still had half of the battery left when we returned the bikes! I would highly recommend this company and their bikes
