Lollar Pickups & Guitar Repair

My 1957 D-18 was starting to buzz on lower frets. I took it in and a partial re-fret ( first 7 ) was in order. Then I had a serious ding on the front lower bout… That needed to be stabilized on the interior. That was followed by fret dressing and set-up. The results are excellent. The clarity of tone has returned. The intonation is spot on. The crack repair solid.The guitar feels and sounds fresh with improved tone I didn’t think was possible. This is a vintage guitar, but not pristine, a player. The character of the guitar is intact and the bold sweet tone reclaimed. I would recommend this shop for restoration and repairs. Peter

Given that Lollar provides the only current Martin warranty work in the area, I took my D-18 in for some binding repairs. After evaluating my guitar, it also needed a next reset and they were able to get that done under warrantee as well! While it was all in pieces, I had new SS frets and bridge installed. So, WOW, when i got it back it sounded awesome, played awesome, and the fret work looks awesome. Really pleased with the work and will definitely return there for future work.

This place makes quality pickups, and their customer service is super helpful when it’s come to any questions I’ve had about pickups/different combos/wiring questions. I’d highly recommend any of their pickups over any of the ones that generally come stock in many of the name brand guitars.

Great customer service, very knowledgeable and excellent repair workmanship (and reasonable price for work done). My 20+ year old Guild F-50R developed a small separation crack and they repaired it and spotted that my top 7 frets were hammered and did a refret as well. Absolutely blown away by the sound of these new 63 Jazzmaster pickups!!! Night and day difference. Ill be putting Lollars in all my guitars from now on.
