NxNW Student Apartments

I wanted to write a review because around this time last year I was considering writing a terrible review for this place, but since then i've changed my mind and wanted to write a good one because this past year's team deserves one! Our start here was rocky, but it was because of a change in management that a lot of things got lost in translation. I just wanted to say that this management team is great, especially the manager. He was always friendly and genuinely cared about your requests. There were activities hosted frequently like succulent pot painting, or flower bouquet building, raffles, food, you name it. It was always fun and appreciated by my roomates and I. Maintenance was always quick with our requests and they were always kind to us!!!! Visitor parking is extremely easy. They had problems with break ins but they listened and hired a security company to patrol every night, and I have even seen police patrolling the area at night which definitely made me feel safer. The only reason I do not give this place 5 stars will have to be because alot of the units dont really look like the model unit, which is expected for most places. You can find older couches and things like that in alot of units. The hallways are also the nicest in the main building with the premiums, and the other ones definitely need some remodeling. However, I will say that last year I personally saw them make MANY changes to the units floor by floor and remodeling as much as they could, which I was very happy to see (: NxNw is definitely the place I have felt the most heard in all, my living situations in Tallhassee. Although it isnt perfect, you know they really do care to listen to what you have to say. I was happy from my experience here and was really sad to leave. As a senior, this was my favorite apartment I've lived at.

This was one of the most disappointing living experiences I’ve ever had. The elevator broke down nearly every other week, the hallways were often dirty, and the elevator itself besides being expired, was frequently filled with trash and debris. During my move-out process, a package of mine was lost (completely irreplaceable) despite management requesting forwarding addresses from all residents for this exact reason and then failing to follow through. On top of that, unexpected charges kept appearing, especially after moving out, which felt unreasonable and disorganized. While the staff themselves were kind and friendly, the building overall is extremely poorly managed.

Writing a review mainly for Brooke H. at the leasing office! She always radiates warmth and seems genuinely happy to help me. Sometimes I need a package immediately, and she goes out of her way to grab it and another guy who seemed like the manager did it once as well, which I know isn't conventional, but it meant a lot. Yesterday I came in really concerned about an issue, and Brooke immediately provided both comfort and solution.

I’ve been living at NXNW for the last 2 years and I would recommend living here to anybody considering. The new management has turned this complex around for the best and my time living here this last year has been lovely. It really feels like home and I am sad to leave this summer. I wanna first say that the first year I had at NxNW I had no issues, and happily renewed even though rent was increasing. However, in my second year I had to deal with my AC being out for over 3 months, my car being spray painted over (car pictured not mine), and just a general decline in my living facilities compared to last year. While they’ve upped their security compared to earlier, I’m still having to pay more in fees and rent for a worse situation. For the location and the rooms themselves it’s awesome and I believe the management has a good head on their shoulders but it’s still a college apartment at the end of the day and the rent they charged me was buku.

If you want your kids to be in a safe environment, look elsewhere. The overall experience here was horrible on top of that. So many maintenance issues, and the kids took such good care of the place, and they left us with a $95 fee. Called to discuss twice and they never got back to me. My daughter's car was hit right at the entrance gate where they have cameras. It was a hit and run. I asked for video footage, and they couldn't produce anything.

I’ve lived here at nxnw for almost 2 years now and I personally love it. Especially with the new change in management there have been several upgrades and improvements. Our pool is looking better than ever with new lounge couches and hanging swing chairs. I will say when I first moved in here I was worried about security and I had to out in many maintenance requests. However, with the new security system and security workers surveying at night in the parking lots, I feel more protected. The only downfalls to this apartment complex to fix in order to get a 5 star would be to increase the upkeep or get another dumpster for trash entirely. Having only 1 dumpster for 6 buildings does not seem the most efficient to me. There is just too much trash being accumulated for 1 bin to maintain a clean and nice looking environment. Furthermore, an updated gate system would be ideal given how old ours is; however, I am grateful that we even have gates in the first place. I also understand how expensive that is to replace. Overall, I love nxnw and will definitely be renewing for my senior year.
