This is a great nonprofit in town that helps our community in times of need. They are supported mostly by local churches and are non-partisan.. they help families and individuals who are struggling financially so they can stay afloat or get back on their feet. The majority of work is handled by volunteers. I personally volunteer for their poverty simulations. It’s a great opportunity to give back to our Community but also open your eyes to what others are going through and how they struggle. If you have the opportunity, please volunteer at their offices or at one of their poverty, simulation events, I promise you will have a great time as you also learn about issues in our own backyard. The staff there is incredibly helpful and friendly. It is truly truly a faith-based organization, and I am proud to be a small part of it.

Recently I’ve had to take time off for medical reasons. Crisis Control helped us with food in August and in October. Yesterday they were able to help with a portion of our November rent!!

I am so grateful to Crisis Control. They were able to help me get the rest of my rent together. They were patient and nice and supportive and understanding. I thank God for each one there and their building is so nice and peaceful. Thank you for assisting those in need. Jesus bless…

If I could give no stars I would. I reached out for rental assistance and the interviewer was very rude. She told me that due to me moving in after I lost my job they couldn’t assist even though I have verifiable income(unemployment) but also an offer letter for a new job. I moved from housing authority because someone was killed in front of our apartment, police there everyday! Then when I asked was there anywhere else I could possibly receive assistance she was blatantly rude and said " With you being able to afford to move in after you lost your job, NO" . I was unemployed for about a month and a half. I thought they were assisting people who are trying to better themselves but fell into a hard time. I lost my job when I got into a hit and run in THEIR parking lot and was denied assistance saying I need proof of hardship. My suggestion is going to a church, Salvation Army, or even Goodwill. This system is set up to help people who doesn’t really need it!

I never receive any help from this place. I either make too much or not enough according to their standards. Places like this is why people are skeptical of these types of agencies and would rather resort to other measures than to deal with this mess. Shantelle (or however you spell her name) and Tina Adkins- Director of Client Services are rude and are condescending. If I was to respond to them the way they have to me, I'm sure it would have been another reason I could not receive assistance. This place is useless and the staff are jerks.

Literally don’t help you with anything at all. I’ve called them on various occasions and Both times they came up with ridiculous rules or excuse me "qualifications " before you can even get an interview. If you got help from them Good for you ,You got lucky. But they absolutely need to do better.
