Antonio was great; he texted me 30 mins before arriving and then again right when he arrived. He was friendly, helpful, and funny. Antonio and his partner efficiently moved my new sofa (still painting so it's not against the wall) into my living room without any issue.

EDIT: removed some unnecessary details. TL;DR: someone stole our PS5 and Switch and the company refuses to take responsibility. We contacted Allied in February 2025 to get a quote for a cross-country move in July 2025. Our move coordinator followed up with us fairly frequently, especially in the month before the move. However, (and this is important) she never followed up regarding a "High Value Items Inventory" sheet and whether we wanted to fill one out. The day of the move, mover showed up on time. Boxes were stacked in two locations: the basement and the front room. The driver began putting numbers on the boxes and items in the basement, writing a list of items on an inventory sheet. This inventory list was difficult to read and not very detailed. As we had a child and two dogs, my husband and I spent our time in our living room, staying out of the way of the men loading boxes into the truck. It took six hours with their extremely frequent and long smoke breaks throughout the process. When we and the truck arrived at the destination, we had absolutely no trouble coordinating with the truck driver and the truck was unloaded efficiently. In the process of unpacking, we realized a couple of things. First, boxes had not been adequately packed in the truck, with heavier boxes packed on lighter ones and slightly damaging contents inside. Storage totes that were intended for long term storage had been cracked from the weight of things placed on top of them. It was not notable enough damage to file a claim, but was frustrating nonetheless. Second, our PS5 and Nintendo Switch boxes were missing. While the Switch console had traveled in the car with us, we'd packed the docking station and some other accessories in the original packaging for the Switch box. The original packaging for the PS5 box contained the PS5, as well as related items. We have video of these items in our front room, with other items that did make it to the destination stacked on top of them. The truck driver checked the truck again, but was unable to locate the items, so we filed a claim with Allied. While waiting for that process, we reached out to Berger directly. We were concerned not only for our items, but also for the fact that there were potentially employees that had stolen high value items. After a week, my husband was finally able to talk to a manager. The manager interrogated him as to "how the movers would have known it was a PS5 anyways" and explained that we had not filled out the "High Value Items Inventory" as well as "waived our right to inspect and check off contents as they were loaded onto the truck." Again, this was a *six-hour* process that we were trusting Berger/Allied to complete. They were unsympathetic and unhelpful, ultimately telling us that we needed to wait for the results of the claim. We've finally gotten the results of the claim, which has been denied: "The documentation we have on hand indicated that our inventory listings have been signed with no notation of missing items or missing boxes or boxes being tampered with." Basically, because I signed the inventory form at our destination, I was told I had absolved Allied of liability. Definitely wouldn't have signed until I had checked everything had that been made clear. Because our items were in the front room and inventoried last, we're pretty sure that the items were taken by a mover at some point, possibly prior to inventory completion. We are extremely upset with how this whole process has been handled. Any "apologies for the inconvenience" that we have been given both by Allied and Berger have felt hollow. Had it not been for the missing items, it would have been a four star experience. But in the end, we've lost over $1000 worth of tech and we will find alternatives for future moves.

This is the first cross country move for me, which was a little nerve racking. Lisa and Vic pit all that to ease pretty quick. Lisa was professional and transparent through the whole process. Her communication was great!! Vic is a seasoned pro, no doubt about it. Made sure everything was taken care of and packed well. And kept his guys on task and didn’t waste anytime. I’d recommend Berger Allied if you are moving locally or cross country.
