Dollar General

I used to be a regular at this store for years and had better experiences previously so I’ll give it a couple of stars. Today I stopped in for the first time in months because I figured I’d get some wine and some chapstick on the way home. First she raised her voice for me to bring the wine over to the counter, in which I did with no issues. While looking for the chapstick I picked up some febreze plug refills and made it over to the counter. While asking if she took a certain card, I didn’t notice that she put my few items in a bag (that’s an extra charge for those that don’t know ) without asking. I told her I didn’t need it and she took the bag with my receipt (I’ve bought leaky things here previously so I’m learned to get a receipt). I asked for the receipt and asked if she charged for the bag, she told me it’s only five cents, I reminded her I didn’t ask for the bag and then I said,"usually people ask if people want a bag" (because I was confused, not rudely). She replied quickly in a snarky tone, "usually people don’t walk out the store with wine." I’ve worked in customer service and would have never been so rude and judgmental towards customers. I don’t care if you’re having a bad day or whatever, you don’t take it out on people-that’s not good customer service.

Had 90 percent of the items on my list, but not quite as big and well-stocked as the last DG I visited. Helpful staff.

THIS IS NOT A DOLLAR STORE!!! The title and description are completely miss leading! This is not a dollar store at all there is like nothing in the store for a dollar. In fact the Kleenex I came in to buy is more expensive than any other store I could find them at! Everything in this store is priced like a convenience store out in the middle of nowhere that knows they can price gouge because there's nowhere else to get this stuff. Google need to change the description of this from "dollar store" to Convenient store. In order for google to do that people need to go in and suggest an edit like I just did

Stacy the manager was AMAZING! I was trying to do some clearance and coupon stuff I had read about and she patiently explained things to me when stuff wasn't adding up or scanning how I thought it should. She even pointed me to the clearance end caps. I've never had an employee treat me so well. It's amazing she can keep such a posative outlook with some of the cliental she has to deal with. Go in the AM. Stacy is worth it!

Awesome prices. They're not a grocery store, so for some items and quantities you will have to make the trip to your local grocery. However, what they do carry is a decent amount of your kitchen and pantry staples. It's great for finding that one item you need to round out your meals or that one item you missing for your recipes. They even carry cold pressed (extracted), extra virgin olive oil, real butter, lactose free milk,- (2% and whole varieties) plus all the other non-food items Dollar General® is famous for.

Stop in every morning for my work day snacks. Nice people and great deals.
