Have had consistently great service here. They really take the time to work with you, whether you're buying a boat, stuff for the boat or getting it serviced. We bought our boat (used) from here and they were upfront about pricing and what they knew about it. We have also brought it in for maintenance, fixing the prop my husband chipped and winterizing it. I would highly recommend them.

They sold me a used Yamaha that is like new condition for a great deal and it runs like a top. Lots of advice and they threw in some misc parts for free. If you need boat stuff get it here!

I live in Portland, Oregon, and I purchased a boat from Mel's because I wanted a Tracker Grizzly Sportsman and nobody sold them in my area. 4 months later, one of the trolling motor batteries failed, which damaged the other one - both would need to be replaced. The batteries turned out to be purchased from a place local to Eugene, and in order to have them replaced under warranty, I would need to drop my boat off for repair. Mel's has no weekend repair hours, so I would need to take a day off of work to drive to Eugene and back for this. They weren't able to offer any alternative, such as refunding me for the batteries so I could go out to buy replacements, or a weekend drop-off. I guess I'm out $400-ish bucks for new batteries because they bought them at some random place in Eugene. Hooray. Would not recommend them for anyone living in Portland as the only way to get warranty-related work done, if you're a 9-to-5'er, is to take a day or two off work. I guess I learned that if a warranty is super hard to take advantage of, it's not a valuable warranty at all.

I blew up my motor. Called them, they had a used one I could use for a decent price. Took my boat in and they had the motor swapped in 7 days. Didn't like they left my boat in the rain and didn't use my cover to cover it that I had on the boat. My boat was soaked and gauges condensated. Motor runs good and boat performs good. Thank you.

Rude attitude. Poor quality work. Never again. Worst experience ever at any dealership. Problem after problem. New boats and motors purchased elsewhere,since, and what a pleasant difference.
