Bought a large flatscreen in the store. I was going to take it home vs delivery, except for the difficulty of installation. So I paid extra to get the delivery and install. They delivered it today (5 days after purchase) and when they got here they said they were never trained how to install so won't be able to do it. Rather than have them take back the TV and cancel the whole thing, I had them leave the TV and I contacted Best Buy to get install folks. Even though I called the local store, they routed me to some guy in South Asia that barely speaks English and appeared to be fighting with his wife while dealing with me. He said he'd have to charge me again for the installation to set it up for next week. I asked why as I'd already paid for it originally. He said it was the only way they can do it, but that they might be able to refund the prior one as well. I asked if it would be same cost and the guy was like "well, it pobably won't cost much difference" I told him I did not want to pay more than I already had and he kept dodging around the subject. Then he was talking about sending me some sort of link to wire him the money to pay for it. I hung up and called store again. This time I got the store (I assume) and asked for the sales rep but they had no record of him.
I ordered a product online for next day delivery. Well my phone rang for an emergency call for the next day and I drove to the store to pick up my item instead. They refused to give me my item I paid for even showing proof of purchase while the item was still at the store. To many excuses on why they can't. Now I'm forced to leave a $500 item at my front door for anyone to see. I didn't need to purchase from Best buy.. I figured I support the last brick and mortar electronic store left. I'll never be purchasing from them again. Amazon has better customer support.
Im amazed how best buy is in business! It takes forever to get someone to help you if you get help at all!! I understand that covid made businesses run skeleton crews but this is ridiculous! If I had a nickel everytime I went into the store wanting to buy something and leave empty handed i would be a rich man. Let alone waiting 15 mins just to check out at customer service when I see at least 4 check out stands empty. I'll keep coming back bc where else am I supposed to go but i wouldn't recommend it...
We have the Total Membership and purchased a dishwasher. It broke while covered under the membership warranty. We paid $100 for a service call. They have scheduled and cancelled appointments 4 times. The fourth time was less than an hour before. We have to drive 3 hours to get to the property so it is considerable time and money they have wasted. It has been months now. They don’t honor their warranty and are unreliable. We are trying to get a refund on the dishwasher and service fee. Buyer Beware.
I sometimes wonder why Best buy is still open but today they proved why! Their online store had the correct I formation on what they had in stock so when I went in, a very kind person asked what I was looking for and was able to direct me. When I couldn't find the product I was able to talk to another employee who directed me somewhere else where I talked to someone else to finally end up with the product. There was a lot of jumping around but everyone was very kind and efficient. Overall, not a bad experience
Today I came in to pick up my online order Sarah was very nice and helpful. Josh helped me find a great Keyboard option I loved. Ali was extremely knowledgeable about all the Samsung watches we were looking at thanks for the great customer service today!
Trevor helped me pick a laptop today. This was a large purchase for me but I felt informed and confident about the buy! No pushy sales techniques, just informative and patient! I always go to this Best Buy for my big tech purchases, y’all have a great team.
