Camping World RV Sales

Would give zero/negative stars if possible. Brought my RV in on 7/10 to get awning repaired. After 6 weeks and a dozen phone calls, the service advisor told me that the work was complete. I went all the way to the dealer and found that they had not even ordered the parts or started the work. I took it home so they would have an opportunity to order the parts and brought it back two weeks later. On 9/14, more than three months after initial drop off, the parts were still not ordered. They did replace a control module which they charged me $400 for which was not broken as far as I can tell. I picked the rig up today, still not fixed, but I do not trust camping world of Fresno to perform any service on any vehicle. Take your business elsewhere. Update 10/28: I ordered the part and fixed it myself in less than one hour. If you think that Camping World is going to save you time over doing your own repair, think again!

I rarely give negative reviews. But I feel like this one is needed to inform families of the type of business this is and what you can expect. We purchased our RV from Camping World in Fresno CA originally. So we felt that going back to them for the repairs would be best.Things were great until the RV got broken into. We work directly with our insurance to make sure things got handled properly and in a timely manner. Our insurance was great. We requested a quote for all the repairs needed from Camping World and returned to them for all the repairs to be done. They failed on multiple levels in relation to communication. About a month and a half prior to us picking it up they had called and said that the RV was just about done. All That was needed was to install the TV. Well, like I said a month and a half later, we finally were able to get a hold of somebody and schedule a pick up. Upon pick up, we discovered several issues with the work they completed. Not only was the RV filthy. Metal shavings, Work related debris on the floor. They didn’t bother to sweep any or wipe anything down. No biggy. Issues I was having is the work that we had originally discussed during our drop off for repairs. Apparently nobody was writing things down. Stabilizer was never fixed. Trim on the interior was never fixed. The quality to workmanship. It was never fixed our refrigerator door is still broken. I even offered to make the repairs myself as long as they got me the parts. They push you to take the RV off the property so that they are not responsible. Now that you’ve already signed. And paid your bill. Then they walk you outside to look at the RV and the work completed. The frustrating part of this is they have you sign all the documents before you even get to see the actual work they did. This to me is somewhat of a scam. Because you sign off stating that things are done to your satisfaction, but yet you haven’t seen anything. Then you go out and actually look at the repairs. We found several issues with the work done. Some had not even been done. The gentleman that walked us out Steven took pictures of all of the issues. I need to get back to us in a couple of days. I called about a week later. Haven’t heard anything. It has been three weeks now and I have yet to hear anything from them. I left messages. I feel like they are trying to walk away from this and leave us hanging although we’ve paid good money and put our trust in them to get it done right. This is why we have insurance. I personally would not recommend this company for any recreational needs, especially repairs. They do shady work and deal in a shady manner.

Horrible communication. Deeply regret purchasing from them. We bought our trailer in 2024 and during our walk though found cosmetic issues. It was laid out in the contract as a "we owe" item, meaning Camping World would order those parts to replace the broken items and fix it. We were only asked to call and schedule an appointment with service to bring back the trailer once the parts came in. For 12 months we called, followed up, left messages and no one ever called us back. Eventually we physically went into Camping World and talked to the service department. We were advised to call Coleman directly to start a claim with them since it was 1 week past our one year warranty. All though the repairs were outlined in the contract, they would not honor them. Frustrated with the customer service, we left and went across the street to trade in our trailer. Now we are dealing with no response from anyone in finance regarding the cancellations of our extended warranty. We initially went in January to sign the cancellation form and was told it would take up to 8 weeks to process. Fast forward to march, the policy was still active. After multiple phone calls and message we drove to Camping World to ask for status. We were told they couldn’t find the initial document from January and had us sign a second cancellation form. We asked for a copy once it was signed. Fast forward to now, we have left multiple messages with Phil and no response. I talked to him once and he told me he would call me back in a few days. Nothing. No update. Since the beginning, we have been given the run around. From purchasing the trailer to now cancellation of extended Warranties. I will never recommend anyone buy from Camping World.

We fell victim to camping world, they sold us extra stuff saying we needed it, an exstended warranty, a thousand eleven hundred to weather seal it. Upon research they do it at the manufacture. They said it wad mandatory to get it, now the extended warranty is refusing to repair my travel trailer i have to do it out of pocket. Let it be known it is the worst place in fresno to buy anything off there lot. There is a special place down below for those people

We have always appreciated the service we received from here until recently. We do regularly receive maintenance on our fifth wheel at this location. Unfortunately, most of the staff that we used to deal with is no longer working here. Steven in the service department has been extremely difficult to communicate with and have any issues resolved. The only way to get him to respond, was to threaten to call his management, which he then responded with terribly and proceeded to hang up the phone. Joseph, the service manager was no better and did not offer us a proper resolution and when asked for a refund, they hesitated and made it difficult to do so. Would not recommend bringing your RV here for any type of service until they can clean up their staff.

Needed a small trailer with a restroom for my dad to camp. Nice trailers but no salesman on sight. Me and my 3 girls just standing outside in the heat Waiting for help. No help. Too hot. Come back another day to the other spot next door.

Don't go to Camping World. I bought a used trailer. When they delivered it they just dropped it off when I was told they would set it up for me. I'm 70 years old and this is my permanent home. 2 days later the A/C goes out. I call the service department. They tell me to make an appointment to bring it in. When I tell them I can't bring it in they tell me they don't have mobile services and they can't do anything for me. So I'm in a hot trailer. Everyone at Camping World lies just to get your money.
