Customer Reviews

. Shout out to Phil! I did my first Amazon return at Staples and he made the process smooth. But honestly, it wasn’t the return itself that impressed me—it was Phil’s professionalism under pressure. There was a steady line of customers and even a woman questioning whether he had scanned her items correctly (the guy behind me and I were definitely rolling our eyes at her). Through it all, Phil stayed calm, respectful, and professional. He kept the line moving and never lost his cool. That kind of composure and customer focus deserves recognition. I hope his manager sees this review, because hard work and professionalism like Phil’s should not go unnoticed.
I recently visited Staples to utilise the iPostal mailbox service and feel compelled to share my thoughts, focusing on a constructive recommendation rather than criticism. The experience highlighted the critical importance of effective communication skills for those interacting with customers daily. Clear communication is essential for boosting customer satisfaction, fostering engagement, ensuring transparency, improving productivity, and mitigating conflict. My interaction, unfortunately, resulted in a two-hour delay due to misunderstandings stemming from differences in British and American pronunciations of words and letters (zeeuhro vs zero). We can’t only depend on oral communication in this century especially in a diverse nation like this, especially for verification purposes . This underscored how refined communication skills could have enhanced problem-solving efficiency. I strongly recommend that anyone working in customer-facing roles, including managers, prioritise mastering communication. Doing so not only supports personal career growth but also builds stronger customer relationships, creating a more positive experience for all.
I had a wonderful experience using the printing services at this location. I have never used printing services before. I came in same day needing 100 B&W copies of a small handout on cardstock. The employee who helped me was SO sweet, explained all of my options thoroughly, and went above and beyond to make sure I got what I needed in a timely manner. She got me all 100 copies printed and cut within an hour. I believe her name was Charity! The women at the checkout were also so sweet and got me signed up for their rewards program with ease. This Staples is all the way across town for me, but I will definitely be returning if I need anything special printed in the future! I am very impressed by the level of professionalism and second mile service at this store.
I called Staples looking for assistance and was extremely disappointed with the arrogant attitude of the agent who answered. Rather than trying to help, they were dismissive and uncooperative. It felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. If Staples wants to maintain good customer relationships, they need to ensure their staff treats callers with respect and at least makes an effort to assist. Though another agent called back and tried to offer help but I was upset by the agent who spoke to me first and I felt no value from my business to them.
I’ve been a loyal Staples print center customer for years and have spent thousands here (Literally order thousands of business cards every month), but tonight’s experience left me really disappointed. I came in about 5 minutes before closing to quickly pick up a business card order I placed yesterday that was supposed to be ready today. I know how it feels to be wrapping up a shift, so I was trying to be quick and respectful of their time. I stood at the print counter for several minutes without being acknowledged, even though two employees were right there. The only reason I even spoke up was because another associate came by and locked the front doors, and I didn’t want to risk holding them up past close. When I asked about my order, I was met with a curt, "Yeah, we were working on another order, what do you need?" It felt dismissive, and honestly, just not the kind of tone you expect as a paying customer. I gave my name, and was told the order wasn’t ready. I was frustrated because the pickup time had already passed, and when I said that, the response was a sarcastic, "Well, to give you a peek behind the curtain…" At that point, I just asked if I could come back tomorrow—I didn’t want to go back and forth. When I went to leave, the door was locked and I asked if I could leave this way and no one answered me, so I ended up letting myself out by opening the gate and unlocking the door myself. I understand things get busy and stressful at the end of the day, but it just felt like my business wasn’t valued at all and I was completely ignored. I’ve already reordered my cards elsewhere and will be not be using staples in the future after this experience.
My fiancé and I stopped in on the 4th of July to print off signs for our upcoming wedding. Mason helped us. He was so kind and helpful. He had our items printed off in under an hour and was extremely thorough with showing us the different types of papers. Thank you, Mason!
The store associate at the 28th St. Staples in Grand Rapds was quite knowlgeable and very helpful regarding my purchase of business-class multi-function printer unit. I always receive great service at this store.
