Scott trosper the manager here is a real jerk and makes people who come into his store that are contracted through this junk gig app called Instawork feel uncomfortable and instead of being kind when we’re just trying to feed our family he decides to get aggressive people were flat rude to my wife then causing me to leave my work to come one and bring order to the situation. Please no one support this location or Instawork and I’ll tell you anyone at dippin’ dots you fired good hard working people and went with a company that doesn’t care about workers. They ban anyone who speaks up so I’m being the lightening rod as someone that has lost over $25k personally in working with them. If you want the review changed reach out but as long as tiny profit gains are more important than working class families and their kids I will encourage all workers in KC to send me their stories I am not the leader of this only the lightening rod.
Walked in looking for just one item - a very kind lady helped lead me to the right isles, her coworker proceeds to come up to her and berate and humiliate her in front of me. English is her second language and I suppose she pronounced the name of the product incorrectly. The man (manager?) spells it for her, has her repeat the word back to him, and completely belittles her for getting it incorrect. I am honestly furious and it’s absolutely absurd to me that someone would treat anyone this way - let alone a coworker. It’s also ridiculous to me that he would have the audacity to be racist in a predominantly Spanish speaking neighborhood. If this is the way managers at this location speak to their employees I have no problem finding my items elsewhere. I’m disappointed and appalled. Our neighborhoods deserve better than that man.
I bought a stihl weed Wacker April 6th 2days after purchasing I broke my string and took the item back asked for a stihl tech they told me they didn't have one and they didn't teach me how to start it or give me the tool for the spark plug. I was charged 45 dollars from another place that successfully helped me get my weed Wacker going and I would a refund because the tool was under warranty and you guys should have been the one to fix it. The manager Scott told me he couldn't help me
People were okay but I found what I was looking for rather quick. Clean store.
Hi my name is Juan Garcia I had a great experience with a excellent employee name Vanessa f she was a wonderful help with me I think she deserves a raise thank you
We went in to get a quality grounded ext. cord and after looking around at the entire stock & comparing all the specs we found a really great one. It was a 25ft med. duty grounded one marked at $16.99, GREAT, the others we liked were & 35+! I didn't think it was too odd since they had others (granted not quite as good) around the same price. At the register the cord rang up for $36.99 so the cashier checked it & YEP that was the price. I explained that was hanging with a few of the same cords on a peg marked with the low price then took an employee back to show them. The employee found I was right but soon discovered that almost all the cords were hanging on the wrong price hooks. I asked if they would be willing to honor the price b/c well that is where it was. They had the assist. manager come out & after watching both the employee & assist. manager go through everything to see how wrong the display was set up & looking to see what overrides they could do on the price I asked if they would be able to meet me in the middle of what the price said & what it should actually be - the assistant manager agreed and apologized for not being able to do the much lower price. Honestly I know some people will still think they should have done the lower price but the employees don't make the rules & there is only so much they can do without getting in trouble themselves PLUS they could have easily said "nope it's the price that the bar code reads". So thank you to the employees that were incredibly helpful & very fair Randy, Keyon & Mary (hope I got all the names right!) It's nice to shop somewhere the employees are helpful & do what they can to accommodate customers. It seems to happen less & less especially at big chain businesses.
A decent Ace Hardware. They have minimal turnover because I persistently see several long term employees over the last 3 years in the area. The store is decently kept and a helpful staff. I wish they had a better selection of some things, but it has 90% of anything you would need to build a house. Key cutting and knife sharpening is a nice touch.
