Al's 5 & 10

This is an adorable shop that is filled with both every day necessities and special gifts. They have a large variety of beautiful garden flags as well as American flags. They have an extensive greeting card section as well as a craft section with all of the sewing notions you could need. There is a huge selection of beautiful ribbon for Mardi Gras as well as the other holidays. They have an art supply section with everything you need, including Liquitex brand paints. The kitchen aisle has quality brands like Pyrex and lodge. Pet supplies, including pet fish for sale. Extensive toy section with quality items, especially almost every item from Melissa and Doug, which is a wonderful brand. They have radio flyer, wagons, and tricycle, the metal and not the plastic. The plants outdoors are beautiful. When I make a trip to Mobile, I don’t miss a stop at Al’s five and 10.

Wonderful store. Super kind people working there . I purchased some fruit trees and bulbs for my yard. Great pricing. Will be shopping there again and again!!. . Wanted to add to my review. Just went into here today. Purchased a beautiful Japanese Maple tree taller than me for a great price. and some addition beautiful plants for our yard. The people were just lovely as usual. The gentleman at the register assisted my husband and I with loading our beautiful tree into the vehicle. I love this store! Thank you very much!! (6/1/25). .

I love this store. It has a little bit of everything. Staff will help if you have any questions. If you make wreaths a great place to find everything you will need. Every time I go there I get great ideas for wreaths. I always find something I’ve never seen there before such as live fish. It isn’t a conglomerate so don’t expect a michael’s in appearance. The store is packed with so many things for sale The place is locally owned which supports Mobile. This is my first place I go to for my supplies.

I've never personally been into this establishment however my mother decided to shop there recently. She suffers from asthma and allergies and had a coughing fit while in their store. One of the employees took it upon themselves to follow my mother around the store spraying Lysol disinfecting spray. Just know if you go to this store you will be judged and discriminated against. Shop at your own risk

I wish I could give no star for this place. It looked wonderful and the plants were pretty. That aside, the employees are the most awful, rudest people I have ever met. Do NOT TRY to ask a question because the frowns, eyerolls, and attitudes come out. There are more places who sell beautiful garden flowers and equipment and Al's should remember that!

A bit eclectic, lots of things for garden and home. I really like it for plants in the spring. Greeting Card bargains, wrapping paper, college fan stuff, all sorts of hidden treasures yet it also has basic daily necessities. Stop here before you go to Rouses because you will spend more time than you thought you would and still not see everything.

Usually pretty reliable when you need something specific. However, during my recent trip to buy goldfish supplies, I arrived 5 minutes before closing time just to walk up to the front door and find a worker locking the door on me. She just looked at me until I was forced turn around and leave. I’d recommend, but you better be there at a decent time.
