UPDATED REVIEW: I would not recommend Prime Storage to anyone because almost everything that could’ve gone wrong went wrong during my time storing with them. The largest issue I had was that the 10'x15' storage unit I had been renting actually measured as approximately 10'x12.5'. A 20 sq ft. discrepancy in size is huge, and I had to pause my business while I was storing my items there, which was the very thing I rented a storage unit to avoid. The solution I was offered was to either stay in my unit or move to another 10’x15’ and pay $150 more than They tried to tell me that the units are based on their square footage, which is quite literally what the length and width multiplied are, so I don’t understand how a unit that’s not 10’x15’ would have 150 sq ft. I imagine that since my unit was smaller than advertised, at least all of the units on my block are likely smaller than what people are paying for as well. It’s really a dirty way to short people on the one service they are supposed to provide. When I moved into my unit, the door handle was hanging off the door and only half secured and there was a bag of fish food or something in the corner of the unit. On top of that, the facility is dirty, not very well-maintained, and just plain old. No hate to old buildings, but the floors are uneven and there were mystery splotches throughout the ceilings and floor of the facility and my unit. The uneven floors are tough when you’re using one/some of the 4 available carts… if you’re lucky to be there when it’s not busy or they’re all where they’re supposed to be. The elevator was broken when I moved in and I never received an email or message notifying me of that. It was brutal to move everything using the stairs, but luckily, my unit was on the 2nd floor. I really don’t know what I would’ve done if my unit had been on an higher floor. The elevator was out for a pretty long time. It was down for at least a few weeks, if not a month or so. They almost doubled my rent from $250/month to $411/month after the first three months. Not sure if I’m the exception, nor can I speak to how easy it is to negotiate with them because I canceled my contract for the following month, but I imagine they jack the prices up like that after a few months to most people. The building managers themselves are nice, they’ve always been professional and respectful. Mario helped me and my dad move our things into my unit and stayed past office hours to help, which we were very grateful for.
Very kind and polite. It made everything very easy to understand and he's very knowledgable of the system. I'm very grateful Niles helped me today.
This storage company exceeded my expectations with their excellent service and spotlessly clean facility. The move-in process was incredibly smooth, and their staff was friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend them for anyone needing secure, hassle-free storage!
Less than a month after I had moved my items into my storage unit I received a receipt email for a move-out that I had never authorized. It was a mistake on their end but it lead to a lot of frustration and anxiety until this was resolved. I think management needs to do a better job with organization and accountability.
I booked a storage space at Prime Storage in Sommerville, MA for student belongings during the summer vacation. And I had a great experience. The personnel was very helpful with the setting and moving in/out. And the space size was as advertised, clean with good air ventilation and A/C throughout the summer months.I strongly recommend it!
Mariaceleste was the best in getting my unit ready for me. The facility is wonderful, the storage units are very easy to access and I have no doubt that my personal items are safe. The only issue is that I have too much stuff. That's why I need a storage unit. It's all there
I needed storage and the guy said he had storage. I said cool here is a reasonable amount of money and im cheap mind you! He took it and gave me storage. It was an amazing transaction.
