Crown Heating, Cooling & Plumbing

We've been customers of Crown H&C for almost 15 yrs now. The service we've rec'd thru them has been outstanding, both from the office staff on the phone, as well as the techs they've sent to check/inspect/repair any issues we've had over the years. We have been totally pleased with our experiences over our time with them. If you need any heating/cooling needs for your home, I would highly recommend Crown H&C!! DO NOT RECOMMEND. This company has deceptive and shady practices. We purchased a brand new Lennox AC and furnace unit in 2020. The company did a huge upsell promising Lennox is the best they offered and it was a reliable manufacturer. 5 years after purchase our AC completely went out. This is conveniently right after our 5 year labor warranty expired. We were told this was a known issue with Lennox systems and Crown knowingly is selling faulty units. We decided to give Crown a second chance and purchased a new AC unit through them in July. Now it is October and our furnace has also stopped working due to another KNOWN issue with Lennox furnace systems and the circuit board. We were given a tiered pricing system for labor costs (which in itself seems shady) ranging from $3,000 to $1,600 to fix. This is for labor as we still have a parts warranty on the furnace. Over $1k for labor to complete a 30 minute job is absurd!! This company knowingly sells faulty units and then tries to charge outrageous labor fees to fix. DO NOT RECOMMEND EVER GOING THROUGH THEM

The service was done thoroughly. The service provider answered my questions and gave me some tips on what type of filters to get for my furnace as well as where to get them from. He explained to me about MERV Ratings. This was quite beneficial and great to know. Carlton was very friendly and approachable. He also took his time to ensure the job was done correctly. Dave, from the plumbing side, did our annual flush for our tankless water heater. Part of the service contract is to inspect our entire plumbing system. Dave communicated well the entire visit, took pictures of the fixtures and connections for historic records, had some suggestions for repairs. One was what I thought pretty important. Our incoming pressure was above 80 psi so I had Dave install a regulator which he was able to do the same day. Everything he told me verified on the website for local code. And I feel more secure knowing that the regulator is there. The shutoff valve for the house had been corroded from an obvious slow leak which could have gotten worse. All that was replaced in the cost of the pressure regulator valve installation, along with making a better connection for our electrical ground for the house . Dave also found a supply line for one of the toilets was getting damaged. And a couple other minor things I added to my to do list. I thought the inspection was valuable. The water heater flush each year will lengthen the life of my investment. Dave was not high pressure at all but he had the confidence in what he was doing which comes from experience. He is good to work with. I am happy with Crown.

Daryl arrived right on time, was friendly, professional, and incredibly thorough in his work. What really stood out was how respectful he was of our home—he took extra care to ensure everything stayed clean and undisturbed. It's clear he takes pride in his work. He worked diligently from start to finish, and even took the time to share valuable, easy-to-understand advice on how to keep our HVAC system running smoothly. Honestly, words fall short of how pleasant and reassuring the entire experience was. Daryl turned what could have been just a service call into something that left us genuinely impressed and thankful. We wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend Crown—and especially Daryl—to anyone and everyone we know. Top-notch service, start to finish.

The preventative maintenance plan is definitely worth the cost. I have had the service plan for at least 10 years. My plan might cost a little more than average, I have an expensive filter that they replace with the service. The only time I've had an issue is when I didn't have the system serviced. There have been numerous workers in and out of my house over the years. They're always respectful, kind, and nice to my little dog. My dog is now a geriatric little gremlin. They were still kind and took the time to let him get comfortable with them being in the house after he escaped his crate.

Very pleased with the Furnace/AC Maintenance service today. Very professional, personal, and efficient. Reviewed all recommendations thoroughly and any future fees that may be considered. With not having our units checked since installed 5yrs ago, very happy with today’s results and recommend others to do their maintenance check with Crown.
