Worked with Sheffield Electrical for two large jobs- replacing our outdoor receptacle after a storm, and then a full rewire and panel upgrade. They were courteous, professional, and efficient. They spot checked everything, did a great job with new fixture insulation, kept the workspace clean, and didn't even mind navigating around our old dog that kept laying in doorways. Would highly recommend.

I had such a great experience working with the electrician at Sheffield Electrical! He was prompt in returning my call, and we were able to get something set up for the very next day. He was quick in fixing my problems with outlets that weren't working and was also able to fix a couple other things while he was here. He was very personable and easy to get along with. He explained the issues very clearly and provided excellent service. I will definitely call him again for any electrical needs!

Sheffield Electrical was chosen to replace a 400 amp line into the house, a 100 amp service for our hot tub and landscaping water feature, and to hook up our generator for power outages. We couldn't have asked for better service or workmanship. The technicians took their time to explain what they were doing and used high-quality supplies. It was a pleasure to have them in our home. Their work was praised by the electrical inspector.

I called yesterday to schedule appointments for 2 service calls. Since they normally charge $125 for a service call and I needed two calls, so I bought their membership for $150. The membership waives the service calls, gives you priority service ahead of the other non-member calls and 10% off services. The first appointment was yesterday between 1:15 -4:15 pm. He arrived about 6:15 and told me the fluorescent bulbs were just burned out. We have replaced the bulbs before he came out and the issue isn't the bulbs. The service call was very unproductive to say the least. I did find out the electrician they sent doesn't work for Sheffield, but is an "overflow contractor" they throw business to when they need him. I was not impressed with his knowledge at all. Today was my other scheduled call from 12-3 pm. It is 2:45 pm and they still haven't even assigned a technician to the job. They aren't coming. Here is the real info you need to know if you are considering them. They are a call center. They focus on selling memberships. I am not sure if they even have actual tradesman on staff or if they are just a call center that calls on a list of independents. I have called them 3 times today and the call center can't even get an answer from the "manager at the dispatch center" to see if they will have a technician for today's appointment. The manager has not texted or emailed them back. When I asked if this is typical, they were silent. I have asked for a manager to call me, so we will see if they do. Based on this experience of TWO appointment times, I say find another company that values their clients. There are better companies out there. The membership fee was a complete waste of money and time.

Needed to have a breaker replaced in my panel, no diagnosis was needed, just needed someone to come out and replace a bad breaker. Technicians arrived on time and were very nice and good to work with. They did not have the part but were able to go to Home Depot to get it and come back and install quickly. The company itself does not seem to be as good as the technicians. It doesn't appear this is an actual business as advertised here in Plano. 1) When calling you get routed to a call center somewhere out of town and you are not able to speak to anyone local 2) No price/estimate was given up front even when I requested. Once done, price for service was significantly more than expected. Technicians were not able to provide pricing when they came and said someone from office would reach out to me afterward. Expecting it to be no more than $200 for labor + parts since it was a simple job, I told them to go ahead with with work. Never received a call from their office explaining pricing, next day got a receipt for $360 which they had already charged to my card. That's in addition to the $85 I had to pay up front for a "membership" to schedule the appointment. Overall ended up costing $465 to replace a $40 breaker that took them less than 20 minutes to do. 3) When I called to inquiry about the high price, was routed to someone out of the area who was quite rude about my concerns. When I explained that it was significantly more than anyone else around town charges, they just said they would provide the feedback to the technicians managers. I'm not upset with technicians at all, I'm upset with the price and the poor service dealing with the company. It appears this used to be a local company's name that is now used by some larger company that farms work out to contractors via their app. They push you to use this app called "Premium Home Services" to book everything rather than calling in. Overall poor customer service experience, way too high price for the service, and will not be using them again.

Sheffield Electrical updated my electrical wiring and system. Great prices and service. Our technician was courteous, timely and conscientious. He thoroughly explained the issues and provided quality workmanship. We had another issue that required updating today--our new oven wasn't working and shorted our main breaker--the electrician located the problem and fixed it with his usual thorough approach! GREAT SERVICE!!!
