Current Electric

2 years ago I had a electrical panel fully replaced by roman electric they did a quality job and price was competitive. I gave them a call and had them quote me for the job of installing a backup plug for a mobile generator. They quoted me an astronomical price of 2500 dollars you beat their quote by half and what I expected the job to actually be worth the price to have done for. Your Sales rep was fine he was pleasant. I knew what I was willing to pay and came in just under what I thought it was worth. The scheduling team was just as pleasant and easy to do conduct business with. I was not home while the install was being conducted. However my wife was, she had zero complaints. The work area was left as it was found. The install outside of the home was the same. The video of showing how to operate the switch was very easy to understand. Thank you for that as well. Roman electric lost my business. I will call you first if any further needs are required. Please don't end up like roman electric and offer "memberships". And just do good honest work the way I had dealt with you and you'll gain more than a 1 off customer. Thank you.

I paneling my garage interior and needed some conduit and wiring rerouted. In addition, several 120V outlets were installed and light switch functions modified. Brody came up with some great ideas on making these changes and the execution was perfect. All of the conduit that interfered with attaching paneling to studs was removed making my job much easier.

Current Electric was recommended to me for a small commercial job by my neighbor, who is also an electrician. They were extremely easy to work with. We got a date within 10 days to for them to come out and then they submitted for the permit same day and completed the work within the week. It was probably the simplest part of opening the business! The office staff are very responsive by both phone and email. They send text and email reminders. The electrician staff were on time and polite and always explained any decisions we had to make. The first guy that came out was very personable and kind of gave us the low down and made recommendations since we would need a fire inspection. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

We replaced all of the line back smoke detectors in our three story house. Josh came out and looked at what we had and made some excellent recommendations which we followed up on. He gave me an estimate of the time it would take and how much it would cost and it was quite reasonable. Scheduling was easy and straightforward. On the day of the install, Josh came with Francisco and the work went very quickly and efficiently. Current Electric has outstanding people working for them. We’ve relied on them for many years and recommend them wholeheartedly to our friends and neighbors.

Quality work with sky-high prices. I have had Current come out for several different projects, and they have always been courteous and done a good job. I also very much appreciate how they clearly tell you what the costs of things are going to be before beginning the project. However, those prices are close to double what other electricians would charge for the same job. For example, to install a ceiling fan that required a new switch and fan wire to be run, Current's price was $1,100. I had it done elsewhere for $500. A few other cost related things that don't sit well with me: - They now offer a SUBSCRIPTION for some reason. That feels like it should be a joke but isn't. - They are always trying to upsell you. Getting an estimate from Current, though as I said I do appreciate that it takes place before the work, feels like I'm at a shady car mechanic where I'm told about all the other stuff I really should be doing. I wanted a fan installed and they offered me a whole-home rewire for $4,000. - Their "truck fee" keeps going up

Current installed my solar system, it was commissioned in October of 2021. They were the only solar company with a realistic payback calculation in the quote and the installation experience was great, worthy of 5 stars. However, they have recently completely lost my trust. Half of the panels in my solar system went down recently with the cause, once determined and fixed, clearly being covered under their warranty, yet they still tried to invoice me for the work, which is not acceptable. They verified all panels any inverters were working properly, and sent me a quote for troubleshooting and fixing the issue, which is understandable. I requested they retain and provide to me any materials or components that were replaced as well as pictures of any damage found prior to fixing it, a request anyone should make in this situation. They provided everything I requested, which proved it was clearly a failure covered under the Workmanship warranty. With the pictures and components in hand and system working again, all was good... until I received an invoice for almost $900. I told them I had no intention of paying until they provided a report justifying their reason for not covering it under the warranty, which they responded to saying they would provide a report within a week. A few days later I received another invoice with the charges zeroed out. No apology for attempting to invoice me for obvious warranty work. The average person relies on the honesty of the company when it comes to what repairs fall under the warranty and, if they placed their trust in Current Electric, probably would have paid the invoice. I feel like most people have the expectation that a company like Current Electric do the due diligence to verify if the repair should be covered without the customer demanding they do so, and verify they are not obligated to cover the repair BEFORE invoicing the customer. Current Electric failed here, and didn't even apologize for it. Edit in reply to your response: I am in direct contact with you. I sent an email to Jennifer saying basically what I said in this review just before posting the review, only about 6 hours before your reply. So please don't give the canned "we invite you to contact us" when I'm already in contact with you and simply waiting for your response.

We want to thank Current Electric for the fine work they did upgrading our utility box and other electrical work that needed attention at the Little Community Church. We want to especially thank Mr. Eric Isken and his team, for their loyalty to the job. Mr. Isken was very professional. He explained the work that was to be done and he kept us informed of everything. He worked hard trying to finish the job, so we would not be kept from our day. There was even a day he worked right through lunch. Little Community Church thanks Mr. Isken, and we wish him much success.
