GMBC deserves a 5+ star rating for our major construction project! We started the journey of implementing our vision of building our first floor and connecting it to the top floor by interviewing many contractors and construction companies in early 2022. After several proposals, we chose Moshe and his crew because of not only their expertise and their record of high-quality work but also their open communication and overcommunication approach. Fast forward a year and a half, and they proved to be the best choice we made. Construction in San Francisco, getting all the permissions, going through all the inspections, and getting the certification at the end from the city is not an easy task. Our expansion project was not the largest project GMBC has undertaken, but it was certainly one of the most intricate. It included an office/bedroom with closet, bathroom, laundry room, shoe closet, large storage closet, large wet bar and lounge, entertainment area, and more. That went along with craftsmanship: cutting new skylights, building a new concrete slab with radiant floor heating, meticulously tiling the bathroom and wet bar, and adding detailed crown molding, etc. We loved all the crew and their signing while working. They were always on time, opening the garage door at 8am sharp, and truly skilled at their work, especially the foreman, Moises. He and his crew aimed for perfection and to make us, the customer, happy. They were always willing to go the extra mile to ensure our satisfaction, even if it meant redoing parts of the work. Whenever we texted Moshe or Moises, they would quickly exchange messages, get on a call, or huddle with us to address anything. They were very accommodating when it came to change orders, always providing detailed documentation and ensuring proper signatures. That was particularly important to us as we were investing in this project for our own house and wanted to make many decisions along the way on top of the baseline plan; for instance, adding a drain in the garage, extending the new concrete slab into our backyard to build a patio with stamped concrete, installing a shed in the backyard, to mention a few. That said, various bumps happen along the way in such a project, and Moshe patiently and openly settled every single one to our satisfaction. In a nutshell, GMBC and the staff are trustworthy, responsible, skilled, hardworking, and do premium work. If we ever want to add a third floor to our house, on top of a hill in one of the coldest and rainiest times in San Francisco, we will give the work to GMBC again in the blink of an eye!

GMBC did a light renovation of an office/den area that we wanted to close in and convert to a bedroom. They did an excellent job of the rough and door framing, drywall, door moulding and painting. It looks as though the house was built with this improvement when they were done. They sent a crew of 2-3 people daily to complete the job and it was completed in 1 week. Very happy with the result.

Let me just start off that my wife and I are very happy with the end result. Our condo now looks great and functional; just the way we want it. Eli's crew did a great job renovating our condo. I can't say the same about the process though. Many friends told me my experience is not unique. This is one of the hardest project I have done in my life. If I was asked to do it again, I probably would have said, "No." My wife and I slept in the condo during the renovation. They did the construction while we went to work. We had to live with the mess and dust for several months. The whole process tested our patience. Eli's crew were professional and easy to work with; although, there were some language barriers. I had a lot of help from his foreman, Armando Contreras. He was a great guy to work with; unfortunately, he did not work on my place all the time. He had several projects at once. When we do have him, it seems nothing can go wrong. Armando will make sure everything we want is what gets installed. It's when he's not around where some things were done incorrectly. They were corrected, but the corrections took some time. They were all professionally done. We expected the project to take 3 months, but the whole thing took over 6 months. There were mistakes, miscommunication, and having to wait for inspection. Again, we are happy with the overall result. What I would have differently is to not stay in the condo during construction. If I could afford it, I would have hired my designer to run the project. There were many times I was called to make decision on the design, even though they are on the floor plan. This project took a lot of my time, money, and patience.

Moses was an absolute Pro! I had an idea in mind for a bathroom remodel but got really frustrated figuring out the budget and layout. Moses made my dream a reality at an affordable price and I could not be happier! Thank You GMBC C!

We had great experience with GMBC Construction Inc. They helped me renovate my kitchen within my budget. They showed me material samples and explained to me the difference between material prices vs durability & professionally explained how the work needed to be done. We are extremely satisfied & impressed by their entire staff. The friendliness and professionalism was greatly appreciated. Currently, they are remodeling my friend's bathroom & it's coming out great. We would highly recommend hiring them.

I had a great experience with GMBC Construction on my recent bathroom renovation. Moshe was professional and always reachable via call, text, etc. which for me was huge. I am quite busy and need to trust that anyone I hire will do the job properly without any run around or extra supervision. It was nice to know I can rely on a team like that. Price was very fair, clearly laid out before we started and there were no hidden costs. Tile work was beautiful and they really worked with me on every detail. Installing special fixtures I picked out and purchased and specific grout color. As a professional designer I have an eye for detail and these guys were very understanding and patient. Would absolutely hire for my next project

These people came to my house and never followed up with the bid they promised to give me. This was a medium size project, a bathroom, kitchen and half bath/laundry in Piedmont. The best part was that the guy called me months later and asked if I was still looking for a contractor to do my project. I was in fact and said yes, you’ve been to my house and never gave me a bid. He said oh sorry about that! I’ll get one to you this week. He never followed up. So this is the company to hire if you like having your time wasted. Note for the company, if you aren’t interested in a project just tell the homeowner you’re not interested. If it’s not a good fit for you it certainly isn’t a good fit for them either. No one likes the run around or their time wasted.
