I’ve had multiple bad experiences here but have continued to give the owner another chance. No more! I called last night just before closing to schedule a time to bring a lawn tractor in because it will not start. They agreed for me to drop first thing this morning. I loaded it up and took it in and the owner refused to take it because he was "full". He offered no solutions other than to turn me away. He has never acted interested in helping me in the past either , so I’m done giving him any more opportunities to do better.
From the AMAZING customer service to the QUICK turn around from drop off to pick up is quicker than expected. We've been using Honest Engines for years and highly recommend this for lawnmowers, snowblowers and generators. I'm sure they service more but this is what they do for us and we're so happy with them!
My dad was bringing lawn mowers, chainsaws, snow blowers, you name it here since I was a kid. I have been doing the same for years and have had nothing but good experiences with the staff and the work they do. They charge a fair rate and do a good job, and that’s hard to find. There’s an old saying about sticking with a good mechanic, and unless something changes I’m sticking with Honest Engines.
They did a superior job of fixing my mower, and it was ready to pick up the very next day. My only issue was it cost me about $100 more than what they quoted me when I dropped it off, so wasn't really prepared to fork out the extra money... they didn't even call to let me know there would be additional costs.
The guys that took in the riding lawn mower and updated me about it were great. But when we went to pick it up, I brought a new battery with to check that the mower would start (which was the initial problem--they said we'd put in the previous battery incorrectly). I asked if i could borrow a screwdriver so I could put in the new battery, the owner said he didn't have a screwdriver (really?) and that I shouldn't be questioning my mechanic. It cost $260 for an oil change and for them to tell me the first battery was in wrong.
A wonderful experience. Myself and my daughter went there to get a mower serviced. He said he did not work on those because you can't get parts. We started talking to him about wanting to get a mower. We ended up buying a mower and he explained everything very well. I would not hesitate to recommend Honest Engines as a great place for service of your mower or to purchase a mower.
They pick up one day and you get it back in a day or 2 already to go they call you before they bring it back they do a very good job
