Our AC suddenly quit working, but luckily we have a home warranty with Choice Home warranty. Claim was made and a service tech showed up charged us $65 and said you need a new AC. We never heard from the company again. After an interminable discussions and days of waiting claim was approved but the contractor refused the job! Choice subsequently contacted Boricua AC, and Carlos promptly returned my call and met with us the next morning and performed a diagnosis. He concluded we needed a complete new heat pump, air handler and compressor! After much documentation and many pictures Carlos got an approval. The unit had to be ordered, but Carlos kept in constant contact until unit arrived and arrangements made for installation at 8AM the next day. Unit was installed very professionally by Carlos and his skilled crew and job was completed and thoroughly tested by 1PM! Carlos took the time to show me exactly what was wrong with the old unit and why the necessity to change it completely. Such service is a rare commodity these day!

Carlos came by through Choice Warranty and is the owner. He showed us ways to service our ac unit to keep from having higher fees. He took the time to do the job right and was very efficient. I’m willing to bet the negative reviews are from workers who no longer work for him for obvious reasons. I suggest don’t judge by others past experiences and give him the chance to prove the past reviews wrong. Carlos was very friendly and personable. I will definitely use him again and request him in the future. We are very grateful we used Boricua!

They were referred through my home warranty and the person that came out, Carlos, came almost a day late, he’s attitude towards me absolutely horrible. He acted like he didn’t want to help me with my air conditioning issue. Then he gave my home warranty company a false diagnostic, so they denied my claim. I know he gave me a false diagnostic because I called for a second opinion and they fix my unit with no problem, I had to pay out of pocket. I will never do business with this company ever again.
