I had an outstanding experience with Plum HVAC. After my 66-year-old Carrier gas furnace finally retired, I decided to replace it with a Mitsubishi mini-split HVAC system. I consulted with four contractors and chose Plum because of their excellent reviews and competitive pricing—and I’m glad I did! From the owner Sam to the administrator Natalie and the installation crew (Jake, Alex, Andrew, and Ha), everyone was professional, responsive, and great to work with. Sam and Natalie went above and beyond to help me file my HEEHRA application just before the TechClean deadline for NorCal. Natalie proactively reminded me of the deadline, reviewed my application, and pointed out errors, showing their commitment to helping customers save money. Sam was straightforward, responsive, and open to my ideas—like installing the outdoor unit in the side yard instead of the backyard, which he got approved. The installation crew was meticulous, professional, and respectful, wearing N95 masks and protective suits when needed, and cleaning the work areas thoroughly after each day's work. Jake emphasized quality over speed, and I could see they took pride in their work. They even took care to hide electrical wiring behind the pipes, maintaining a clean and aesthetic look. Plum is a small company with low overhead, and they pass the savings on to their clients, making their pricing very competitive. I’m truly grateful to have found them—highly recommended!

I hired Plum HVAC to install a Mitsubishi Multi-Zone Ductless Mini-Split system. The crew came before the scheduled time and even waited in the car for me to give them a green light to start the job because I had requested a specific start time. The crew was super efficient and got to work in different areas of the house. Each day after the job was done, they made sure all areas were fully cleaned up. The job was estimated to be completed in 3 days but the crew finished everything in 2.5 days. I was super impressed at their professionalism and how fast and clean they did the job. They were also priced pretty competitively. In addition, they also helped to apply for the Clean Tech rebate and got it back pretty quickly. Sam the owner is also super responsive with text. I’m very glad that I went with them and would definitely recommend!

I highly recommend Plum HVAC! I reached out to six companies for heat pump HVAC quotes through switchison.org. Sam was the first to respond, and we scheduled a visit the very next day. I immediately felt a rapport with him, and he was super low-pressure. I noticed that he was not taking notes, photos, or measurements when he was surveying the house. He said that he just remembers everything! We discussed both ducted and ductless (6-zone mini-split) systems for our house and he quoted both. But it was pretty clear that the mini-split would be a better choice if we were ok with the aesthetics. Sam came on Friday, and he sent me the quote on Saturday - less than 24 hours later. I had the other companies quote only the mini-split. I don't regret getting the other quotes because I learned something from each of them. But they all came in at higher costs (some more than 2x!), and I still felt like Plum would do the best job. Despite his quote being the lowest, Sam quoted the higher-end "FS" models of the Mitsubishi indoor units, and the others quoted the "GS" models. Sam and Natalie helped me reserve HEEHRA, TECH Clean CA, and SVCE rebates and answered many other questions before the installation. Jake, Ha, Andrew, and Alex did the installation. They were a highly competent, efficient, and courteous team and they completed the job in three days. We are very happy with the performance of our system and with the whole experience with Sam and his team.

Sam of Plum HVAC, responded to our Heat Pump installation request promptly and provided a very competitive estimate after an onsite visit. He was very flexible and patient to answer and explain our questions. After we signed the contract, he and his team of 4 worked very hard to deliver and install the whole Heat Pump system on time with good quality. I am particularly impressed by their problem solving skills to overcome different connection challenges for the attic installation. Each day before they started, they covered the floors with protection blankets and cleaned after they were done for the day. They also revised the drainage and electric work per the city inspection guidance. Sam and his team were professional and honest so we highly recommend Plum HVAC to any customers who need HVAC work done for their houses.

He offered a quote in person, & stuck by it. They removed our old furnace, and installed a two head mini split in our two story townhouse. The work as you can see is very clean! The guys who installed it were very fun & professional. Sam & his team were communicative the whole way through including the permitting process. They took roughly one full day for install, which was very fast! Including removal & disposal of our old furnace. Natalie was very helpful throughout the Bayren Rebate process & always available for any questions! This system has changed our lives, wish we would have gotten it done sooner! It’s way better than we could have imagined.
