Don't get taken advantage of by this company who uses scare tactics and extremely overpriced units/labor with zero documentation around return policy. I called this company to have a tech look at my furnace yesterday and the tech claimed I had a number of parts that would cost thousands. He told me the items that were going bad, stressed the safety concerns, and ultimately suggested a new unit. Since the weather is extremely cold and my children and I had been without heat for 2 evenings, I felt obligated to put a deposit down for half of a new unit ($3860) and schedule the appointment the next day. I was able to mitigate the issue for the time being since the price was extremely expensive ($7800) for an 80% unit that likely cost the company $800. I tried to call early the next morning to cancel kindly asked to receive a refund however the GM talked over me, explained that there would be a 15% restocking fee ($1200) and that I'm obligated to pay that fee (paying a restocking fee on the total price which includes labor). Given the season, they'll likely be able to sell that unit, so this fee seems a bit excessive (and more than the actual cost of the unit). I said I'm more than happy to pay the cost of the technician who came out the previous day. He would not let me speak and continued to talk to me in a condescending manner. I did not sign any sort of agreement nor did my invoice that was emailed to me state any of these "obligations". He said if I contacted the BBB he could put a lean on my home. When the tech took my deposit, I didn't have to sign for anything, nor did I receive any return policy verbally or in writing. I did receive an invoice later in the day however all it included in the body was the cost of the unit including labor, the warranty and the deposit I paid. There was no verbiage around the return window or restocking fee due if canceling. I'm stuck in a difficult situation now financially and I'm not sure how to resolve this. Even if I cannot, I don't want anyone, especially a single income household, to have to experience what I have with Chandler Heating & Cooling.
First time using Chandler Heating and Cooling yesterday and we were very impressed! Their customer service is phenomenal and they were able to squeeze us in last minute for an AC repair. Very reasonable on the costs and the technician was knowledgeable, thorough, and friendly. Would highly recommend!
FRAUD COMPANY, DO NOT USE. This review will be long but worth your read if you want to save 15,000.00 dollars. TL;DR AC broke. Chandler contracts with Premium Home Services, a contractor who uses contractors. They were just salesmen trying to sell me a 15,000.00 system when I didn't need it because another tech came out and fixed it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY or Premium Home Services. Our AC wasn't working while running. We were looking for an HVAC company that could help as we are relatively new to the area and used Google Reviews to find someone. Chandler Heating and Cooling has excellent reviews, so we called. They offered a membership that could pay for any other HVAC-related issue for the next year for 179.00. Having someone come and look at our problem would cost half that, so I agreed. This is where it is evident deceit and fraud are going on here. Chandler uses a contract with a company called Premium Home Services. Premium Home Services then contract with HVAC companies in the area to service customers. So we are talking contractors within contractors, which makes this whole thing very messy. Ok, Nick, the HVAC tech, comes out to see us. Nick is a nice guy. He uses old-school tools to look at things and finds that I need to change my air filter because I changed it two months ago, and it was a little bit dirty. I regularly changed it every three months and was sure this was not the cause of my issues. Nick changed it using my filter, said we were ready and left. He didn't even try to diagnose anything else. The next day when it was 90 degrees, the AC didn't work, and the house got hotter, and AC was cranking away, burning through electricity. I called Nick back and asked him to come and take a look. He came back the next night, pulled out the same old-school tools, and told me that there wasn't enough freon and that we had an "air restriction," the only way they could fix the problem correctly was to have us spend 15k on a new system. I am not dumb; frankly, I get even more angry being taken advantage of. I called around to get a second opinion because I would rather spend 500 dollars getting a couple of different opinions than spending 15k to replace the whole thing if it didn't need to. I found an HVAC tech (this one was a real HVAC tech and not a salesman), and he came out the next night with modern tools and told me that I had a freon leak and that he found it and recharged our freon in our house should be good to go. He charged me 200.00, but I gave him 300.00 because I was so grateful he was honest and had the knowledge necessary to do his job. My wife noticed other reviews seemed very fake for this company. I should have seen it, but I needed to pay more attention. I didn't and had a terrible experience, and it was important to me to take the time to write this so others didn't have this same experience. I also hope this business fails because they are just dishonest.
We replaced our central air conditioning unit. Chandler Heating and Cooling were punctual, neat, professional and couldn’t have been more pleasant. They were affordable compared to other companies and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Outstanding job.
These guys are extremely amazing! I've also always been able to get a quick appointment, usually next day. It seems like they assign specific technicians to an address, since we've had James each time. James does a great job explaining what he's doing, how things are checking out, and what short and long-term suggestions he has for further maintenance. They have done year checks on our A/C and furnace, and they replaced our water heater. I'll be calling them when we need to replace our aging furnace.
From start to finish, the technicians from this place were great!! They were professional, knowledgeable, polite, responsive, prompt and friendly. I am super pleased with my decision to use their services. They were were even sweet to my two oversized, overly friendly dogs. On top of everything, they cleaned up after themselves and made sure I was pleased and understood how to work my new air conditioner before they left. Superb!!
Chandler Heating and Cooling came over within a few hours of my calling them! Excellent service with a quality Air Conditioning Technician. Service was prompt, courteous and fixed the problem in a few hours. Unlike other AC repair companies that claim to be easy, they were and I'm thankful for their help!
