This is a fantastic shop. These guys are all very knowledgeable and professional. I brought my Mci bus there for a transmission issue two previous shops could not figure out. These guys found the problem and fixed it to perfection. They also serviced my brakes and seals and air bags. My bus is running and operating perfectly. Thank you Shane, Justin, Everett, Dave, and all who have put hands and time into this. Thanks again for the patience on the bill. Stellar and spectacular service.
This shop closes on the weekends. I came in Friday with warranty work to be done. They stay till Saturday morning 0700 to get everything done. They were not satisfied with the repair because it was still leaking. They stayed until the job was done correctly. Every time my truck has been there they do a complete inspection. No charge to me. They have found items that needed doing that was preventive maintenance.
I want to preface by saying that my overall experience is not done and will update. Dropped my Freightliner cascadia off here around 4pm and was told they will probably get to it in the morning and send me estimate (they did seem extremely busy with a few current customers). I have to get the work done so if the earliest is tomorrow, then i guess it will have to be tomorrow. Had quite a few major expenses come up recently so just generally felt pretty down on my luck lately. This shop had emailed me an estimate within 2 hours of dropping off/ bringing in my truck... What a pleasant surprise! They were slammed and still had time to help me! That is world class service and worth every penny alone.
Twice I’ve found problems on the road and needed to find a shop to get them taken care. Both times Interstate was able to get me in right away and get my problems taken care. It’s hard to find an honest truck repair shop. I know when I take my truck to them that it’s gonna be fixed right the first time and won’t have to worry about the quality of the work! These guys are the best and truly do care about their customers!
One their trucks was parked next to mine I asked them give my truck a jump. He said I "need a credit card minimum 2 hours or $400" stay away from them call Shoemaker way cheaper.
Just my experience. Had an out of frame done on my detroit four years ago including new crank. Have had zero problems, not even an injector. In 2019 I had a jake conversion from the pacs and it's the best engine brake I've had in a detroit. Just had the whole front suspension rebuilt including kingpins. Not cheap but worth it. If there's an issue they are very amenable and the manager will talk to you and they will get it resolved. This is one place that I've found where the mechanics will take the time to talk to you and explain what's going on. Most places you can't even get past the service writer. I've had a couple of issues here but it has always been resolved and as a single truck owner it's really nice not to be shoved to the back of the queue because I'm not a big earner for them.
Asked them to replace dozer and 7th injector as part of preventative maintenance, 2 months later I was derated, limped it to a shop to pay $1800 for the same fix. Mechanic was absolutely sure neither one was replaced. Make sure you double check everything you have them do. I have spent a lot of money here trying to stay ahead of maintenance and problem issues with my truck and I don't think I will be going back. They are also closed on the weekends due to the sweet and sour sniffles.
