We recently had Jolt Electric perform some minor electrical repair work in our home, which was an occasion to reflect on the many years of consistently reliable service we have had from them. In the time we have occupied our present house Jolt has performed multiple tasks for us ranging from a major service upgrade to installing new outlets and light fixtures. We have always found them to be prompt, courteous, efficient and fair in their pricing. Best of all, their work has been trouble free!

Jolt Electric just updated my old fuse box to a new system and installed a mast. John was very patient with me for a couple months while I got the space ready for the work to be done, given its an older house regulations have changed and items needed to be removed (plumbing). He quoted 3 options to move forward, all were fair. John was great to work with and his crew was also wonderful and friendly. I highly recommend them. Additionally, town electric just came out to update my meter and told me they were very impressed and to compliment the company I had used as they had done a really good job with the installation.

Jolt installed an EV charger (and the required breaker, wiring, and conduit), and also came out same-day to repair my main breaker which was improperly installed by the builder. Both interactions I had with Jolt were amazing - they were very communicative, going over my options, even those that could save me money, and educating me on what each choice would mean for me. On the day of installation, they were incredibly respectful, and did a great job, even down to the conduit installation being carefully routed in the most aesthetic / concealed way (again, after checking that I was okay with all their choices). I will absolutely be using Jolt for all my future electrical needs, and would recommend them to anyone.

We were in Salem today and we were in need of a Philips screw driver. We saw this truck and decided to ask if he could help. John jumped in to help us fix our stroller. He was friendly and courteous. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — A Rare Find: Honest, Compassionate, and Truly Skilled We’ve been through the wringer trying to find an honest electrician for my elderly parents who had a very serious electrical issue that was becoming a very dangerous situation.  Over the years, countless contractors have come into their home, many taking advantage of their age and vulnerability — quoting outrageous prices, doing sloppy or incomplete work, and trying to upsell unnecessary "repairs." It’s been stressful and heartbreaking. Then we found Jolt Electric — and everything changed. From the first phone call, John (the owner) was kind, patient, and deeply empathetic. He explained that he had been through something similar with his own family and genuinely understood the situation. He came out to the property himself, assessed the dangerous, outdated, daisy-chained mess of wires and extension cords in the basement — a fire hazard waiting to happen — and told us exactly what needed to be done. No scare tactics. No inflated quotes. Just truth and professionalism. We had previous estimates from several other contractors for thousands of dollars. John and his team came in and fixed the entire problem — cleanly, professionally, and thoroughly — for a fraction of the cost.  Not only did they do an exceptional job, but came into our home with compassion and respect.
