Longhorn Solar - San Antonio

Don’t use this company! This company continuously made it difficult to get any problems fixed. I always had to wait more than a week to get people out to my house and then another few days to get the right person back out to fix the issue. I had multiple problems with the system, at times I was notified that there was an error and no solar energy was being diverted to my house. They miscalculated and didn’t install enough solar panels and they wanted to markup the price to get additional panels installed. They made holes on my brand new roof to install some panels, then they removed them to install in a different area and they just patched the holes with silicone caulking. They also didn’t correctly install some of the brackets, they weren’t properly fastened.

I was first shopping around and they took the time to give me a presentation and all the information needed to make me feel comfortable and at ease. They answered all my 100 questions and still after the installation provide great service! I appreciate working with me on all questions concerns and a great discount as well that helped a lot! They have made the process smooth from beginning until now. They continue to reach out and provide me with assistance and monitoring my system as well! I appreciate and really happy I found Longhorn and appreciate all the benefits of being a. Was looking to get a battery system installed to existing panels. Kent was very helpful in showing and explaining different setups and their costs. While we ended up not getting anything due to unforeseen circumstances, Kent was understanding and polite. Was nice to not feel pressure.

I’ve really enjoyed working with Kent and the Longhorn team. They communicated well throughout the installation process and promptly addressed an issue that came up with our system about a year and a half after it was installed. Thanks!

Longhorn Solar installed panels on my house but over the last year or so they are not generating any savings. Last month, Sep 23, indicated 0. Panels are under warranty but trying to get someone to call & schedule a service appointment for service has been extremely frustrating. Apparently they do not stand by their sales guarantee.

We called Longhorn and they couldn't do our project due to the scope. However, they deserve recognition for doing what other contractors in this industry and other industries seem no longer be capable of doing. 1) They actually answered the phone and called back when they said they would. 2) Were honest about what they can and cannot do. 3) Recommended alternative providers that could do the work. If only the rest of the world still functioned this way.

We were very happy with the services provided by Longhorn. From design to installation and service when we reshingled our roof, Longhorn was always there on time and did excellent work.
